Good article. A couple of years ago on the old 606 we used to get on really well with the Arsenal fans. If we did not agree on something we would have a sensible debate. Nowadays we just get loads of smileys and LAL, Carroll , Hendo , deluded scousers etc

The thing that is sad is when we do the above back at them they can’t take it and spit their dummies out. I am also really surprised with the love in between them and Chelsea fans it makes me want to puke on my T Bone steak flavoured crisps.

Regarding the games between Arsenal & Liverpool I have witnessed some of my favourite games at anfield. I was at the game in 89 and have to say the atmosphere was incredible. It was an 8pm kick off on a Friday night which made it even better as everyone had that Friday feeling. I was only a young teenager and went with my dad. The kop was in full voice and the smell of beer was incredible as 90% of the kop was drunk with excitement. Even though we lost and I was dazed and in shock for about 3 hours after the game. My other favourite game was the recent 4-4. Crazy game and an amazing atmosphere again.

It was not a WUM, it was a well intentioned bridge builder between fans of Arsenal and Liverpool, where people could reminisce over the large number of great games between the clubs rather than just putting Carroll .

I never said Liverpool haven't had good times v Arsenal, who can forget the Fowler hat-trick in about 4 minutes, along with the cup final you mention.


I guess it is people like you who have driven so many of my fellow Gooners to attack Liverpool fans. You reply was just plain rude and unneccessary.

The REAL reason for all of this is Liverpools summer signings and all the players leaving Arsenal has the aforementioned idiots seeing Liverpool as a genuine threat now. And so looking to try and assert some kind of false authority over Liverpool we get all the nervous insults about how our signings are all useless and that we have no chance of finishing in the top 4.

Yes there are idiots on both sides of the coin, but the presence of Arsenal WUMs going off about Liverpool has certainly increased in recent times. All that does if reflect a fear on their part.
