The other side of the coin is that any player who thinks that getting into the Barca team will be a walk in the park has got another thing coming. That could put players off who don't want to spend 75% of the season on the bench.
Sanchez wouldn't get into Barca side !
Also, Sanchez stated on TV last year that it is his boyhood dream to play for United.
He supports Utd apparently but Silva said he'd love to join utd also and ended up moving for more cash at City !!!
He may or may not be good enough for the Barca first 11 but i'd be surprised if a player at his level doesn;'t think he has, at least, the potential to be good enough.
"Also, Sanchez stated on TV last year that it is his boyhood dream to play for United."
First i've heard of that, good news if true!!
To be fair I'm sure a lot of Premiership clubs feel the same way about United. Along with the big Spanish 2 of Barca and Real, United are probably the other prestige club players worldwide want to play for.
In terms of getting players to come to us instead of Barca, well Barca have financial limitations too, so offer a better wage salary. Also, personally as a football player, I'd like the challenge of knocking Barca (one of the greatest teams ever) of their perch!
>>How are we supposed to compete with these media darlings??
you don't because you can't.
