Those threads served me well. Immediately after reading the enlightened stuff, I realized my weekend will be better spent at gym rather than 606.
When should I expect Neon to get banned from this...?
He wont get banned, even if he does, he'll come back with another username
He may well do..... but he'll be back with another username. the guy lives and breaths this place
How are two threads about Tendulkar having a go at Pak fans here ? Could you care to explain?
Mine(which btw is a perfectly reasonable thread) could unsettle your nerves a little.. but how do other two abt Sachin become toilet paper threads?

The reasons why all your fast bowlers wet their pants when it came to beating India in WC. Can you explain that?

Perfectly reasonable yes
Hi Googly! Just logged in to see if any banter about the tremendous last few days of cricket and all I see is a lot of rubbish and nonsense comments and some familiar threads yet from, oddly, a "new" poster. Anyway - I think I log off sharply - wishing you a great weekend.
And you 606. have a good one, not to worry cricket will be back on soon then the cricket fans can return
Really Googly... after all that's been going on here for months, you use "one" comment to bring the whole article down ??
Was the article unreasonable or the comment ? If it was comment, I accept I went OTT with that comment.
If you think the same for the article, I beg to differ.
I didn;t use one comment to bring anything down swat, clearly. I just found it odd you describe it as being reasonable yet you come up with comments like that, bowlers wetting their pants. We just have differing ideas of what is reasonable. that's all.
Swatster,
The sachin threads are selective. In one them pointing to his record based on 5 games vs Pakistan. Most Indian fans don’t like PERSPECTIVE when it comes to sachin and that’s why I call them TOILET PAPER THREADS.
You all know the despite sachins centuries, his conversion into victories ratio is poor compared to many other players. His win % was 67% in odis.
Sachins contemporaries from around the World have a much better record…….
1. Brian Lara: 19 ODI Centuries, 16 times West Indies won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 84.21
2. Sanath Jayasuriya: 28 ODI centuries, 24 times Srilanka won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 85.71
3. Saeed Anwar: 20 ODI centuries, 16 times Pakistan won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 80.00
4. Mohammad Yousuf: 15 ODI centuries, 14 times Pakistan. Winning
percentage of centuries is 93.33. Only his first century was in losing
cause in 1998 against Australia and since then his all 14 centuries
were match-winning.
5. Mahela Jaywardene: 13 ODI Centuries, 13 times he was on winning
end; all match winning centuries. Winning percentage of centuries is
100
6. Nathan Astle: 16 ODI Centuries, 14 times New Zealand won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 87.5
Heres another FACT for you - Last time he scored century to beat Pakistan was way back in 1996 and since then there is nothing. 5 ODI Centuries against Pakistan but 4 times India lost. Only his 2nd century against Pakistan could see India winning it, except that his 4 ODI centuries went in vain as Pakistan clinched the victory in all 4 matches.
Sachs winning percentage of centuries in Test Cricket is only 39.21. And if we exclude his 8 centuries against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh then, out of his 43 Test centuries, only 14 times India
won. If we compare his this stat with one of his contemporaries from Pakistan, i.e Inzy, then some readers might get a shock to see Inzy scored 25 Test centuries; 17 times Pakistan won, 6 times drawn and only 2 times Pakistan lost. Inzamam’s winning percentage of centuries is 68. Players such as ponting have a much than both, but I wouldn’t expect you to understand that
Don’t bother replying with your usual nonsense, unless you back it up by facts!!!!
Just to add, his % in odi victories is 67/68% of his centuries coming in matches won.
But 4 of those match winning centuries came against Kenya? 5 against Zimbabwe and 1 against Namibia. That's almost 30% of his match winning centuries against minnows/associates.
No-one will dispute Sachin's status as a legendary batsman but many cricket fans and experts commentators have questioned Sachin's status as a match winner and rightly so. something indians get abit touchy about and go into defensive mode...... Go do one mate.....
- Virender Sehwag: 14 ODI Centuries, 13 times India won. Since 2003,
his all 13 centuries have been match winning. Winning percentage of
centuries is 92.85.
So you agree that Sehwag >> Lara in both Tests and ODI.
If you do, I take your point. If you don't, keep your selective stats to yourself.
Guess what, your stats prove that--
Mohammad Yousuf, Nathan Astle, Jayawardne >>> Lara, Sachin and Anwar.
Not to forget my example above. Your stats don't mean a thing Afridi14. Specially when you compare 99 international centuries with players with 20-30 of them.
Check Lara Vs Sehwag in tests for similar stats. Or Langer Vs Lara, or even Michael Slater Vs Lara.
FAIL STATS
they prove that shorty sachin is not a match winner
Swat,
Thank you very much for your kind words. Much appreciated. However, the point of my stats wasnt to say one player is better than another. It was merely to state that some indian fans are very selective when it comes to sachins stats. however, when you dwell a little further you find that he isnt much of a match winner compared to some others. Thats not to say hes not a quality batsmen...... Point is, have as many centuries as you want, if more often than not, your not converting them to victories for your conutry then what is the point?........
M.Clarke in the last test scored one of the best centuries your likley to see in a long time in test cricket on a bowler freindly pitch.... at the press conference he said it was a useless century as it didnt result in the aussie victory. Obviously he was being modest..... but you see his point!!!!
I had to laugh when I read your comment that we/them/us have been waiting an age to have a go...... are you kidding.... every 2nd tour Pakistan disgrace themselves......please
