That's why Benitez got so much stick in this country. Liverpool are a media darling so in the early-mid years of the Yanks he received a lot of flak and so much so that the media got Liverpool fans on side and eventually split them.

Dalglish is untouchable, Liverpool as a club are untouchable, which means eventually when Liverpool fail again they will put the blame on the players. Mark my words this will happen. Given the players Liverpool have IMO they are punching above their weight, they shouldn't be anywhere near Spurs or Arsenal, never mind Chelsea.

I doubt Spurs will be effected but in the unlikely event that their dip in form coincides with this court hearing it is highly likely individual players will cop the flak. Last season Gomes was singled out by the media, when in fact Spurs defence last season was poor and they had scored less goals than Blackpool.

It seems as if he's guilty judging by the evidence.. but he won't go to jail either as he's worth more to them with the money he makes!
