You bleeder, just beat me to it
Id take Koumas and Giles Barnes, he'd be just what we need on the wing, just hope he's willing to play for us and not too costly
Some quality names on their but most of them wouldn't drop to our league & wages but the Arsenal list look interesting if they are young players.
Tell you sumat, theres some cracking second names in there, Isiah George Osbourne, Nigel Shola Andre Reo-Coker (Try sayin that after 8 pints) and my personal Fave Sebastian Bengt Ulf Larsson
Johan Erik Calvin Elmander?
Daft name but I'd take him! Ha
In Football Manager mode for a moment, I'd have a look at these:
Arsenal - Cruise & Randall
Aston Villa - Osbourne & Salifou
Birmingham - Phillips & Shroot
Bolton - O'Brien
Chelsea - Philliskirk & Woods
Everton - Agard
Liverpool - Saric
Man City - Logan
Sunderland - Yves Mvoto Owono
WBA - Barnes
Wigan - De Ridder & Koumas
Wolves - Jones
Sign up Tom Cruise from Arsenal!! if for nothing else, we could sing some awesome songs!!! Take my breath awwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
i_Monster..................... Why Osbourne?????? did you not seen how ineffectual he was on loan? Hence he got sent back!
He was ok. Yeah he had a couple of poor games but he also had a couple of excellent ones.
Going out on loan, it's not always easy to have an instant impact. More often then not they are lacking both match fitness & match practice. I saw enough from him to think he could do a more than capable job at this level. His passing is poor at times but he's a good athlete, covers plenty of ground & is fairly combatitive.
It'd also help if he was played in a position that benifited his strengths rather than the creative role Megson seemed to play him in a few times.
i agree with monster ? osbourne would be a great signing ! the lads got talent and can play the game ! unlike many he has a brian ! allthough something must have been said for him to go back to villa early

i agree with monster ?

<falls over>
I'm questioning myself now!
I'm Brian and so is my wife
I see what you're saying i_monster, I don't completely agree and I personally think that Semedo would be a far better signing to compliment Prutton and Coke (remember we still have Giles Coke)
now welease woderwick
I never said he'd be a better signing than Semedo & I probably agree with you that he wouldn't.
TBH, I never said I'd sign any of them, just one's who I'd have a look at.
Some of them I don't even know where they play!
Alright I am the Messiah....NOW F*** OFF!!! , funniest film ever bar...none!!!
And is Imre being a very naughty boy yet again!!!
I'd rather have Semedo to be fair, although Osbourne is a good player his passing was questionable at times..however I thought he played well with Palmer
No I know you wasn't i_monster, just my 10 penneth, I'm personally keen on us signing a couple of younger up and comings but I think semedo would be quality, I'm not fond of Osbournes injury record either though, but if we can get him on a 1 year cheapo contract and a full pre-season, then why not eh?
Think he'd be a good alternative to Semedo if he went elsewhere but on the flip side, Meggy sent him back to villa so I dont think he rated him
Someone in our office has just said Kevin Phillips just got released, now that would be a good signing the t*@t always scored against us.
Half of 606 was rolling around having a hissy fit when we offered JOC a new deal - can anyone tell me why Osbourne is any better than ol' bent legs?
Erm, because he is. Simple as that.
Would be a good signing. Especially as he's free.....
Concise point, i yield to your superior oratory and debating skills.
The only difference between the two is IO is bigger. No strength to size ratio though, i've seen dairylea with more bite in the tackle than him.
As for footballing ability ...
what about bringing kuqi back, .........did i really type that.
sorry, it's taken me 50 mins to get up off the floor after that last comment!!!
we paid a million squid for that heap of rubbish back in the day!
"i've seen dairylea with more bite in the tackle than him."
Please elaborate.....
I see you're not the sharpest in the drawer (before you ask me to elaborate, that's a pun on wit and knives).
Having said that, you list Carlton Palmer amongst your favorite players so i'm beginning to understand why you're so forgiving of Osbourne's shortcomings as a footballer.
IO's possibly better than Kuqi, i will give him that, but putting those two in the same team would be car crash football.
