yeah I think they will get into the league this season. I occasionally go and watch them every now and again when I'm not at a leicester game but ticket prices are usually only about £5 cheaper than going to watch leicester which does take the michael... The new stand is verrry decent, and the sports bar which is under the main home supporters stand is really posh (its pretty much a replica of the Notts County sports bar)
Fylde - all the best to you too, coincidentally, I am in the last year of my degree at B&FC. If you ever see a blue car with an LCFC scarf in the back - thats me
I'm too from the old BBC 606.
I'd say my use of Not606 and JA606 is probably 50-50 to be honest because they're both decent forums with good posters and they're both just a place where I can talk Leicester City.
With this, I think the whole nostalgic feeling behind it is good and it's good to see many old posters from BBC. If I'm honest, I probably wouldn't have been on Not if JA wasn't temporarily down about a week before BBC closed as it forced me to find another forum.
Fair enough, you do have a lot more idiots on Not but if you sift through that then there's some good debate to be had. Also, Proud and Emilio are two good mods who've settled everything down and the profanity level seems to have decreased from when most of you will have seen it and thought 'no thanks' originally.
I think it would be nice to have the ability to do things like edit your posts to correct mistakes, be able to quote others in reply to a point and I think it would be nice if the article that was the last to be commented on then went to the top of the article list because then it means a thread lasts longer and you can get better debate on that thread rather than an article having a shelf-life of about a few hours/a day on here and when big events happen (i.e. post-match thread, new signing. manager sacking etc.), then instead of having about 5 different threads for the same topic and the same points being repeated over and over, you get one continuous thread with better debate.
But credit to whoever set this site up because it looks and feels just like the BBC 606. It's like it's never been anyway
As I recall, a lot of BBC 606ers waited to see which site Dunge, Merseyside & a few others plumped for and went with them!
Keep up the good work boys & girls!
Good to see familiar names on here and yes some great contributors with matching sense of humour.
BF - Good Luck with that degree and future job plans and glad to hear you have a BLUE car to match your scarf.
Old 606'er for me.
Came straight to JA - felt familiar, like an old pair nof shoes !
I read Not but don't post. Too many eejuts on there but it can get quite funny. Bordered on the racist recently ... I understand Sep Blatter is a big fan.
I too came from the beeb, though I was milan_has_a_plan back then. Coincidentally, it'll be interesting to see how our illustrious former owner gets on in the dock in January - we may have handily dodged a bullet there, or rather passed it on to poor old Sheffield Wednesday.
JA is the place for me anyway - I tried not606 but pretty quickly got tired wading through all rubbish posted on there. I also found it impossible to express any kind of opinion without people just resorting to name-calling, though I'll admit I haven't visited the site for quite a while so maybe that's all calmed down. Still, this place feels like a home from home, just a slightly quieter one than before.
Not is also banned on my phone oddly enough - Orange say it's inappropriate for under 18's and I'd have to ring up to unblock it!
I was attracted to JA by it's visual similarity to 606 (note to self, get head examined immediately), but more importantly because the people who post here and the quality of their posts: Dunge, fatfox, downsouf, to mention a few.
I don't get on here half as often as I'd like, due to a slight dose of OCD on another forum for a different sport, but I do like it here.
One slight caveat is that some clubs boards seem to have virtual tumbleweed rolling across them permanently – Hull being a case in point. It would have made the last two weeks far more entertaining if there had been anyone home there.
I too am from the BBC and like many others followed the popular guys.
Good debate humour and sensible posting.
The influx of WUM merchants also seems to have dissolved , has that got anything to do with the moderators
I was on BBC 606 and joined here just before it shut down. I also go on foxtalk as well as looking at other clubs forums to get their opinions on matters involving us, (hulls amber nectar for example) and sometimes for for a laugh (sky blue talk.)
I joined the BBC site about nine months before it finished and migrated over to this one and also keep my eye on Foxestalk too.
This one generally has a better debate but they can be slow sometimes due to the lack of users on the site.
Foxestalk on the other hand is quickfire stuff but also full of alot of comments I would sooner not be reading.
To be honest I have to follow Fatfox as his comments and opinions directed at other fans coming on here looking for fun usually make me chuckle.
I was on BBC 606 too.
I think Not606 and JA606 have distinct identities. Not probably has a more youthful vibe about it while JA is more cerebral.
For me, it's just a shame that there are people I knew on BBC606 on both sites. I have a dream where all people from all sites live together on one site in harmony.
TBH I doubt that'll happen.
ps - what happened to New 606?
X BBC but miss other teams Banter, , however this board is slowly getting stronger and as with the previous BBC site has some intelligent contributers , unlike my one sentence contributions.
Greatness,
Some good suggestions there. It would be good to see articles re-promoted to the top when they receive a lot of posts as some clearly demonstrate more interest than others and being able to quote people (without copy and pasting) would certainly save time.
Madness,
I didn't realise you were Milan has a plan and remember you from the BBC. I think you're current name definitely has more longetivity as a Leicester fan.
Stourbridge,
There was a whole article on Not in your honour begging you to come back. Surely you're feeling the love on there? ... and it's a good point, whatever did happen to New?
I came from BBC too - I used to spend half my life during football season reading the posts but didn't comment myself as I thought I would very easily become addicted and not do any work! I found JA to be the best of those going, probably because it is so similar. I haven't looked at Not for ages but it annoyed me - I'll have another look if it has got better. The only other one I look at every so often is Foxestalk although I find I can scroll down past many entries as it is all a bit repetitive.
I migrated from BBC 606 to JA606 because of the comfortable familiar feel and the erudite postings. I've never looked at Not 606 - put off by the adverse comments I suppose, and from today's comments I still don't think I'll bother. I occasionally look at Foxes Talk but haven't joined - I don't really like the format.
Incidentally do we have something brewing between fylde fox and Blackpool fox?
Old 606er feel at home not i found the swearing to much for a boring fart like me!
Like the regular crew from my vantage point here in the desert on my high Camel. Wont see Nigels first game his smile to Ian was real moment to savour.
It would be interesting one day to get a table in bar at the KP crisps/sangi beer stadium and meet up with you all. But would that take away the mystery and at only 15 would Trevor be allowed in?

I'll be there Nev.
Er .... is it your round?
Jobyfox - I eventually managed to put right the self-inflicted sabotage of my own Not606 account and have posted!

a smashed screen and ripped off mirror around here.
I was blocked from Foxes Talk for having a different opinion.
Afternoon All,
I'm new to JA606 but was on the original 606. Didn't post very often however, really just liked reading the opinions of others.
Since 606's demise I've been reading the comments on not606 but found it highly frustrating. It seems that the users are incapable of having a debate without it turning into a pathetic slanging match between clubs that frankly I couldn't care less about. I'm a Leicester fan and enjoy proper adult conversations with other fans, not children.
Stourbridge recently left not606 for what I believe were the same reasons and after hearing he moved here through a campaign on not606 to get him back, I've decided to follow. To my surprise I have seen a lot of the original posters from 606 are here. downsouf, danger, joby, nev etc are all names I recognise (there are more and in no particular order) and so far I think the sites great. Really similar to the original.
Thanks to you all for restoring my belief in football forums and the common decency of football fans!
...although I'm sure there will inevitably still be some wums around...
Err thanks but there was a LCFC Jimbo as well as a Jagalags so you may be welcoming the wrong Jimbo home. Thanks all the same!
Who cares mate your just as welcome
