Agreed! Who is this man to say teams should be cut from our league!
lucky to have CL football? It's rubbish, poor format. It should be the European cup, knockout all the way through and only champions of each country should qualify
I dunno... presumably one of those 12 clubs would include Spurs... they can use the time to practice their self branded "free flowing football" and transform it into actual free flowing football, and not the U11 performances they serve up most weeks.

Agreed 100%.
But where could UEFA eek out the Swiss Francs to lavish their offices and management using that format?
Only 2 days after other threads about this, but well done
It's a shame life in general is about money, and not winning fairly and taking part passionately. I'm 18, life long villa fan. My dad was there in 1982 as a 17 year old when we won the european cup. I've watched the final and other rounds countless times on dvd, it makes me incredibly proiud despite not being around then. it was a proper competition, you had the be the best to take part and we won the league the year before using only 14 players on not really a massive budget, just top players and a top manager.
Maybe we could stand on top of uefa headquarters in protest? Lol. This is what football is all about. Shame life has become about money, but hey ho spurs away monday whey!

Sorry mate, my life doesn't revolve around thiss board and I don't remember any other City fans mentioning the subject.
Things have been fine for years but the £ talks more now than ever to the detrement of OUR game and the fans that follow it. Football is disappearing up it's own a-se.
Boris, that's a pretty frank confession
Sorry for being such a pedant
Do any English Chairmen or owners ever comment on other European leagues, or is it just the Spanish?
Worst Idea Ever - Mr and Mrs Stinky deciding to get it on that fateful night <sigh>
Is this just a ploy because even the big clubs will be hurt by FFP.
it would mean that 12 clubs would have nothing to do every couple of weeks

No, because the plan is to allow up to 8 teams from a nation enter. Thus, assuming England keeps its co-effecient up, we will have 8 teams in the Champions League.
As for the other 8? Well they would be in the Europa League.
European football for everyone!!
Sepp Blatter should tell sandra she should be behind the kitchen sink and not be bothered with thinking these things through.
Those dishes wont wash themselves.
