Gooners should be praying every night before they go to bed he doesn't get injured as without him they're average.

We will drop to Liverpools standards then FatJan!

Still, we could buy Steve Morrison off Norwich for £35million!

You would know about average being a livrpool fan . Lak!

Don't be silly, they still have Marouane "Messi" Chamakh to fill in.

they have played two more games than Spurs and Spurs are still above them

We're not a one man team. We just lack the quality in terms of a back up striker. Neither of his goals where exactly running the entire length of the pitch. His finish for the second was sublime, but the chance was made for him just as with the first.

Funnily enough, without him we're still twice the side you are.

No European football and you still can't get a top four spot

Kenny out!

posted on 19/11/11

Why make this about Liverpool? I'm talking as a football fan in general. You lot know that without him you have no chance of a top 4 finish. The rest of your team is nowhere near as good as both Manc teams, Chelsea or Spurs.

posted on 19/11/11

van Persie is the only player we have willing to get on the end of crosses and passes and then have the ability to finish.

The rest of the team deserve as much credit as him for defending and providing him goals.

So this one man team tag can go away.

SoG you can still laugh at Kenny for his joke transfer policy.

OP we would probably be fighting relegation if not for RVP but we have him and he is still fit and that's all that matters

posted on 19/11/11

Without RVP we'd need to buy a good striker. We wouldn't, however, have to go out and buy a whole new team. We're creating the chances.

Arsenal are above Liverpool. Discuss..

But we do have him so what's the problem? It's like me saying without Van Der Vaart Spurs or weaker, or without Silva City are weaker or without Suarez Liverpool are Championship standard. All those clubs have said players so your point is moot

It is funny how in the summer we were a one man team, and that man was leaving for Barcelona. RvP was just an injury prone striker who even when fit wasn't that good!

Fact is, without Theo it would have been 1-0 to Norwich, even Andy Carroll could have scored the first!!

Which is why I said that given his recent injury record you should pray he stays fit. It's a fair comment but you Gooners are so precious.

Arsenal play with a formation that has one striker.
Shock horror it is the one striker who scores the majority of our goals!!

But as I said earlier, without Walcott, RvP wouldn't have got the opener.
Without Vermaelen we would have been under great pressure.
Without Song, Ramsey and Arteta we wouldn't have totally dominated possesion.

He has picked up just one injury in more than a year and all it did was rule him out for one game. I think his injury record is just fine at the moment.

Batman he's only once played more than 20 PL in one season since he's been at Arsenal. He has injury problems. He's looking brilliant in 2011 but you can't deny that he has a poor injury record. As I said, just pray he stays fit this season as Chamakh and Gervinho aren't good enough to lead the line.

Considering that you've come on here with comments clearly designed to wind people up, it's not surprising you got some replies slating your own team, especially considering how high and mighty Liverpool fans were 6 weeks ago.

Are you lot not able to have a conversation about football. This is nothing to do with Arsenal v Liverpool. As somebody who loves football in general I'm jut making a point that you're not as good a the others. Spurs have Adebayor, Defoe and Pav, City have Balotelli, Dzeko and Aguero, Utd have Rooney, Hernadez and Berbatov, and Chelsea have Anelka, Drogba, Anelka and Torres. You only have RVP which is why you should be praying he stays fit all season, as he hasn't managed that once since being at Arsenal. It's not a wind up, it's the truth

Rather have Chamakh, Park, Walcott, Gervinho and Arshavin tbh
On current form all 3 (or 4) Chelsea strikers are awful!

And Adebayor, Defoe and Pav?
Another bunch of blunt strikers.

Proof that supporting a team really does make you blind to everything else. Park unproven, Chamakh a terrible footballer, Arshavin is inconsistent and lazy, Gervinho too hit and miss.

Chelsea and Spurs strike force is much better than yours
