I missed the game today but I watched him against Liverpool and he looked decent, good going forward. Possibly just a bad day at the office?
possibly. thats why i wanted to see what people thought. this was the first time i have seen him for a full game this season.
I think he would be a decent back up since he can play a variety of positions
Either way Chronic it's valuable experience for him, at his age he's still learning and improving. I see him as Walker-lite - not quite as imposing physically but similar style.
I also watched the game he played vs Pool in which he was very good but you should probably keep in mind that he was against the horrendous Downing on that occasion.
And before a load of people start saying 'haha Gervinho isn't any better', to be honest he played well he just can't hit a bloody barn door!
Naughton could cover right back, left back, centre back, right midfield and perhaps left midfield.
Well said Batmanu - Arsenal are certainly more of a threat down the wings. No-one predicted that Walker would be our automatic first choice this season - obviously his spell at Villa worked wonders. If anything Naughton's going to learn more from his time at Norwich.
I rate Corluka, but we all know how slow he is. I reckon we'll have the two Kyles fighting it out for the RB position next season
on that showing kyle walker needs to be permanently on the bench
Walker
Naughton
Tomayto
Tomarto
Lets call the whole thing off
yeah i meant kyle naughton lol
Hope your well chronic buddy?
I always stress to keep Naughton the guy can play lb,rb,cb,cm,rw and lw...squad player not first team.
He is always suspect defensively at rb (exactly like alan hutton) but at left back a completely different player i promise he would give B.A.E big competition
Plus he will always get a goal of the season contender huddlestone would be proud of his power shots!
look like modric
am good mate. spurs are doing well so i am doing well.
you?
i dont buy this thing about being able to play everywhere.
thats not the point.
the point is is he the required standard of spurs in those positions that he could play? if not then its irrelevant that he can play in lots of positions.
i can play in lots of positions but i am not the standard required by spurs.
we have some very good utility players who can cover midfield - peinaar, niko, rose
and who can cover defence - rose, corluka
i am happy to keep him if he is good enough, and i hope next time i watch norwich he is better, because today i was very disappointed.
From what I have seen of him, he is the kind of player who would fit into the likes of Wolves, WBA etc. Definitely not top or even 8 standard.
