Weren't Newcastle getting less than 10,000 just before KK took over.
Wasn't our lowest crowd in the 3rd tier about 26,000.
well we do and the city fans throwing coins at us, was that not embarrasing?
The stats tell a somewhat different story:-
1 Manchester United 75,495
2 Arsenal 59,957
3 Manchester City 47,028
4 Newcastle United 46,871
5 Liverpool 44,945
that is mainly because we extended the away section however we had fulham and wigan at home as well as blackburn and they only brought a minibus so a lot of the section was empty which takes off around 3000 of the capacity
I thought the sport direct arena held 50 odd thousand?
well funny enough we decided to extend the home section which goes onto the away section against everton and we got 50,000+ coincidence?
by the way where were the chips?
Most Geordies are morbidly obese so chips were suspended on health grounds.
They do have more fans than you.
Both clubs are well supported but Newcastle are a one club city therefore don't have anyone else to compete with for fans .
Both clubs are well supported and I agree with Hatem in that almost all the clubs that have come to St James' bar Everton, Arsenal and Spurs have poor away followings which would take at least 3,000 of normal capacity.
City singing about us not winning anything for years was very clever and really witty
Didn't you win the championship?
Andy Carrot (U2440)
Why don't you do the same while you still can?
Have you ever seen City win the league?
Have you ever seen City win the league?
Have you ever seen City?
Ever seen Man City win the league?
(Have you ****!)
Only a few months left to sing that
We are City,
We are City,
Super City,
From Maine Road

Any anti-Man U songs for this sing alone we're having?
The sh*tty man united went to Rome to see the Pope,
The sh*tty man united went to Rome to see the Pope,
The sh*tty man united went to Rome to see the Pope,
And this is what he said,
**** Off,
Who the **** are man united,
Who the **** are man united,
Who the **** are man united,
When the Blues go marching on, on, on.
I recall when Rooney was still at everton and it was the derby and the evertonians were all singing 'rooneys gonna get ya' to the tune of the infamous belly advert
Sigh
i would contradict the one club city argument with newky, there is sunderland of course
sunderland look at the bright side watching us lose to a very good team was quite disappointing but watching sunderland fail to beat a team, which have an awful away record cheered me up a bit
Gav as a point Maine Rd where I have been a few times in the Gerry Gow era you moved from there sometime back or haven't you watched your team since?
Sports direct dot com, uk's number 1, had I have been there and not at work I might have tried to start that as a chant!
