For what it's worth i don't particularly look down at any other team or fan. I try to respect the fact they support whichever team they do .... with some exceptions!

It's just great to build up some abuse/banter before, during and after games.

Fair enough111dsu, your outlook on others is much the same as mine.
There are some contributors to 606 who do get aggressive with their attitude though and do go a bit too far at times with abuse.
Banter etc between fans is great in my book and as a fan of a small club it is great to be mixing it with the big boys.
We know we are punching above our weight and in all honesty, a mid table finish is great for us, but we dare to dream.
The trouble is, some big club fans dont like it when we turn them over now and again.

Past Glory? I think I suggested you could dine out on felling the mighty Leeds Utd when you get back into non league. Describing the 3rd Div playoffs as 'glory' is stretching it a bit. As for history, you have neither a past a present or a future and from that point of view I don't really see the point of pub teams at all!

Eddie, its doesn't matter how big or small a club is, and if you rate them as a pub team, champions of the universe, or the team you support, they make up a division in a FA league and that being the case they have as much right to be here as any other!..

Pub teams have been known to put bigger clubs to the sword, mind you, the lower league teams or same league but not as big are just as good at it!..

Also, yes we do have a history, albeit not filled with glory.
Forget about us going back into non league as well, it is as unlikely as you winning the PL.
The mighty Leeds heyday years dont cover such a long period of time though in reality.
Rovers recent history is outstanding, not at PL level of course, but outstanding just the same.
A rise from Conference to Championship in a short space of time, faster than any other club previously, at a time when LUFC was in serious decline.
Thats why the youngsters of Donny follow the Rovers.
Unlike in previous years when LUFC were doing well in the old 1st Div when The Rovers were stuggling along.
Thats why your gates are falling and ours are rising.
Now do you see it?

Without that dream then whats the point in following the sport. I actually admire the supporters of teams like Yeovil/Bury/Exeter etc...... (those are just examples i'm not trying to belittle/insult the fans of those clubs before anyone gets on their high horse!!!). They're true fans in my opinion and deserve respect.

I follow my club as i was brought up here since a very young kid. Never changed loyalties, never would. The fans i really can't stand are the glory hunters, who'll have switched scarves from their Chel to Man City ones ...... sorry i've no patience for them at all.

As i said, banter/abuse between fans if done correctly is great. I deliberately come on opposition boards before games just to have some craic. I'd happily sit in a bar before a game and chat, but unfortunately it'd probably all end up in tears, depending on the attendees from time to time! Maybe it's my ex-forces background, but i've got/had mates for years who've supported most clubs - always got on with them, always managed to have some lively laughs about our respective teams...........

It's all about respect at the end of the day .....

By the way - truly hope you lose on Saturday. The rest of the season good luck though (apart from when we visit your hovel .... )

DAMN YOU I FORGOT THATS HOW FOOTBALL WORKED. Wait a sec..... we beat Chelsea in 2008 and they were champions league runners up..... Did that make us the 2nd best team in europe that year?

Brightontyke, we had a decent attempt at beating the Prem a couple of seasons back, we took on the team that some will argue are the best in Britain or even europe and beat them in their back yard!..
