I think deep down he loves Leeds, realises how sh!!!t of a defender he is, and didn't want our fans to go through anymore hell because of another one of his INEVITABLE errors.
e has let down the minority of fans who believed he was capable of being our best defender this year.

I had high hopes when he first signed, and for while and in parts he's been okay. But in truth i'd be more upset if someone like Lees was saying this, if we can get a decent (ish) price, then get shot of him.
I don't think he's any better (or worse) than Bruce or Bromby - i see them all as similar. Still leaves us with these 2 plus Kissa, Lees and Monty G (if he's as good as the talk makes him?!?!).
Wonder what wages O'Brien's on?
i bet he's one of the highest paid at the club seen as he came from the premier league,the cheeky get

Agreed - unfortunately in my opinion Paddy is not far behind, great for us in L1 but after his injury don't think he is Championship standard now. Can see SG bringing another CB in to back up Lees and O'Dea - although must be question marks re O'Dea's fitness now. Can't see Bromby or Bruce stepping up. It's as big a problem as we have up front.
I can't quite believe it...he did well against leicester, yes onoly one game but you always hope he is turning a corner. I think something must have gone on behind closed doors, maybe papa smurf tried to talk to him nicely and ended up doing his usual?
Still we have O'Dea, Lees, Kisnorbo, Bruce, Bromby and a supposed superstar in the making in Gimpel who I would love to see him in action to see if he is as good as they say.
Tapped up by Sam at West Ham, so wanting his contract cancelled 'by mutual consent', then signs down sarf and poicks up a nice signing on fee. Shocking behaviour and in truth we should use his contract to get compensation, as he's refused to honour his contract. he would sue the club if we didn't pay him as per his contract ....
Re Gimpel. Would like to see him get some game time soon, either coming off bench, where possible, or maybe in the FA cup. Shame about the 5 subs rule!
I'd like to see Gimpel too. My only concern is who does he replace?
i'm not sure a back 4 of Gimpel/Lees/White would be wise - i'm all for blooding the youngsters, but you need an experienced head at the back too ..... is he a CB or RB?
