For a German to qualify he has to be something special.
2 goals. But i cant remember how them goals affected the tournement. Villa was better. What about Kluivert or Baros?
David Villa only scored in 2 matches of Euro 08. Not good enough for my team.
I am judging the team on the whole tournement, not just the final match...

Despite my previous comment, his slip up in the final put him behind Schmeichel.
Yeah Seaman was in my thoughts, as were Gazza, Sheringham and possibly Pearce. But all just did not make it.
There are a fair number missing, but over 7 tournaments it is hard to recall every one who did well, especially from the teams who did not get to the final, and the earlier competitions.

He was brilliant in 92, voted Danish player of the year, and came joint 5th in world after his performance at the Euros.

Yes he was a very good player, and part of a nation that won against the odds.
But the players I put in, especially in an attacking midfield role, are also very good players.
