There's no doubt the Wycombe manager will be playing on the fact its the Bucks Derby to motivate his players. I expect Wycombe to go for it for the 1st 30 minutes, which will also give us chances. I believe we are the fitter side and will win through in the end.
I predict 3-2 with Ibehre, MacDonald and Powell for us.
I don't think Powell will score, so 2-2 I reckon
We only need 9 men for a result against Wycombe
Furz, still true now, if MK Dons only fielded 9 players there would still be a result, not saying MK Dons would get any points and they would cetainly face sanctions from the FL, but there would be a result.
going for 3-1, Agree with Furz, they'll give us a test till our first goal and we'll bomb into a 2-0 lead, they'll pull one back and we'll seal the deal.
Powell, Charlie and Balanta
BTW - Anyone else find the drumming bloody cringey?
The half-time entertainment drummers make a change. I reckon they're OK.
But while we are talking drums, am I the only one who thinks the drummer at back of the Cowshed could at least vary the tempo a bit? Sometimes we hear drummers in the away end, or at away matches, with much more variety.
Just a thought.
Going to be a great game Saturday full of goals. 3-2 I am going for. Charlie Mac (2) and Bowditch. The dumming at half time is good. Brings a bit of movement to a half time. Ironic i agree about the dumming of our lot, they should be more often and more tempo and vairity. Stevenage were a great example of how it should be done, their stadium last year in the F.A cup was incredible!!!
I'm a mate of our drummer and I've mentioned why he doesnt vary it and sometimes he just cba to do it, and I can't blame him to be honest. I mean, I had a go last home game against Nantwich, and done the normal song for the corner, and despite banging my thumbs and completley duffing up the song, about 100 people joined in, and I said to myself after that "Stuff this" if nobody else can be bothered to make noise with him, what's the point in banging the drum?
I am going for a nervous 15-20mins start by us and then a confident display once we score.. Then a straight forward win. Wouldnt be surprised if Wycombe take a suprise lead though that will kick us into action yet again.
The drummers do act as a catalyst to the rest of the crowd to start singing... I recall at Colchester last season we had a few drummers working together that were excellent and actually varied the singing and really helped get the crowd going..
I'm glad Colchester's drummers were a one off...
...As much as it got people singing, this 'pretend to be Turkish' type of attitude annoys me with some teams like Stanley. I'm all for the Dale Cavese + "We love you" songs but the amount of drums that were there shouldn't be done again, we're English.
...That said though, I do like Stevenage fans' support...But they have many fans that sing, we don't..
Another good result, I was right though Powell didn't score
True but it was nearer 4-4 than 2-2. Bucks Kings again.
The difference in class between the two teams was evident to see.The game should have been wrapped up by half time, there were some glaring misses.
Went in one up and couldnt see us losing it, we thought it was too easy, then we were losing 2 - 1, two goals in as many minutes.
We upped the tempo and then we were cruising it 4 - 2.
Credit to Wycombe they never gave up and they scored a great a 89th minute goal.
A very entertaining game, but both defensive coaches must have been having kittens.
I'm not sure we have one SuperD.
If we don't have one we need to get one asap,as we seem to leak a lot of goals from set plays, also seem to shut off or go to sleep and allow the opposition to get back into games where are dominating. Todays game being an example ,we should have been at least 3 goals up by half time but then had to come from behind to get the result.
Furz, yeah but I thought I would use you know whose example and only mention the facts that support my point of view
