Its where we are.
Kind of sad that we miss a player like Wylde
He is what we need though we will wait and see.
A fine wee player that will do a job for us in RW area, with Wylde on the left and Davis/Edu/McCullock/Ness/Hutton to choose from our midfield is very balanced, I'll be honest got a good feeling about Aluko can see him getting some game time on Sunday against killi
Aluko provides something decent we dont have with Naismith out.
On his day he can unlock defences and create chances. Unfortunately like many wingers hes inconsistent. Hopefully though hes motivated to try and win a longer deal and that might up his game a bit.
At worst a fairly inexpensive gamble. At best - he could turn a couple of draws into wins for us.
Nail in the head CT - 'At worst a fairly inexpensive gamble. At best - he could turn a couple of draws into wins for us', that's what wins leagues
Very, very, very poor replacement for Naismith.
Why?
Just looked at his stats. He scored 10 goals in over 100 games for Aberdeen and not one club tried to sign him after leaving Aberdeen.
Harry he's amazing alright, I'm going up to Ibrox the night with my scarf to invite the superstar to the Rangers family he automatically becomes amazing when he wears the red, white & blue of the Scottish Champions
OK Harry.....if it keeps you happy - hes rotten.
Our key goalscoring midfielder is injured. We are a third of the way through the season and Aluko is a proven SPL player of the type we need who is available for buttons. If he is motivated to do well to win a longer deal then everyone wins. If not then at least we made an effort to replace Naismith on a short term basis within our resources.
What are your thoughts on the hugely in demand Andre Blackman?
Blackman signed for Conference National club AFC Wimbledon on 1 June 2010,[7] and made his debut in their 1-0 away win against Southport on 14 August;[8] however, after a handful of appearances, Blackman was declared surplus to requirements.
.......but then signed for Celtic.......
and you are digging at Aluko?
If you're happy at signing a player that not even a team in the lower reaches of the English divisions would touch with a barge pole then fair enough.
It was Celtic who signed Blackman Harry.
I wouldnt judge Aluko by who he did or did not sign for. You have no idea of the circumstances around him being a free agent.
Just like I wont go OTT by the fact he had a trial at Juventus, I wont go OTT by the fact we picked him up for buttons a third of the way through the season on a short term deal to cover for an injured player.
I tell you what though - I know who my money would be on if Aluko had the ball at his feet running full flow at Disaster Dan and big Glenda......
Harry is that not what Blackman is?
Aluko was on trial at Juventus this summer.
Blackman wasn't signed to go into the first team though was he Coach?
As for your last comment. See last season's scores between Celtic and Aberdeen son then come back to me.
look if anyone signs for any of us it means no one else wanted them.
Sad fact of life at the moment.
He will be on no more that 2k a week if even that.
What did Aberdeen get though?
SO why did you sign Blackman if you dont want him to become a celtic player?
Aluko is there to fight for a first team place. Hes hardly going to be first name down on the team sheet. Hes there to prove himself worthy of a deal. Very similar situation IMO.
You do realise Aluko wont be playing for Aberdeen this season dont you?
See this seasons game between Rangers and Celtic. Aluko would maybe not have had as much fun as Naismith did in that game. But I am sure he would still have enjoyed himself......
Son? Oh dear....the first refuge of the limited 606 poster......you played that card awfy early today Harry.
What does last seasons Aberdeen scores have to do with anything. FFS Messi could've been in that team and they would still lose to Celtic.
One player does not make a team when surounded by crap.

All players are bought with a plan to get them in the first team
Aluko paid money out of his own pocket to sign the deal
Good ol' millionaire Craig Whyte
"not one club tried to sign him after leaving Aberdeen."
Absolute nonsense!!
Juventus gave him a trial before we did, Leicester were interested but baulked at the 200k compo fee, and he was also linked with QPR, Norwich and a move back to Birmingham
Aluko signs!!
'rats juice wan us ra league!!
I was speaking to some Aberdeen fans up here. Their opinion was that he was a 'luxury' player. They found his biggest fault was that he only seemed interested when his team were playing well (which being Aberdeen was not that often).
My biggest concern is his injury record. I have not had a proper check but i do remember him being injured alot in his time at Aberdeen. However his wages shouldn't be too much and you never know he could come good playing for the champs
"Leicester were interested but baulked at the 200k compo fee,"
The club who bid £9.5m for Jelavic baulked at paying 200k
Sone Aluko, how did Alistair pull this signing off
Harry- Seriously, after all your midnight masses outside Parkehead whooping it up because some has been who likes Guinness signs short term you criticise Rangers for signing a guy short term, for peanuts??
Why did Celtic sign a fourth right back yesterday? What about Matthews who was supposed to be the answer when he signed in the summer?
Don't try and tell us he's a centre back, big Dan gets a game for Sweden there ahead of Lustig so it's obvious he's pysh in the middle......
