There is a massive difference between unable to afford and refusing to pay or are you unaware of the difference?
Rangers REFUSED to pay Aberdeen out of principle and were going to go to a tribunal as they knew they would win in a few weeks.
Why should Rangers pay money to Aberdeen when it was Birmingham who developed him not Aberdeen? It was Aberdeen taking the p@sh. not Rangers.

Aye, so funny that we had to get Aluko to pay his own compo fee aint it, pure embarrassing to death so it is!
Ach well, at least we're top, winning titles when we are skint and have been handed yet another stick to beat our rivals with.
I mean imagine being beaten to the league title by a club so skint that it had to ask a player to pay out of his own pocket in order to play for them.......you'd think being 7pts behind that club would be embarrassment enough, but to lose the league title for a 4th year running to them, thats just ripping the erchie right oot it
Of course I know Rangers could afford it. Rangers pay wages every week, no problem don't they.
We also spent more in the Summer than Celtic.
The last time I looked we haven't lost the tax case. If that happens it will be a different story. If it doesn't happen we will spend.

Mate, that might be YOUR logic but certainly not mine.. I simply pointed out that Rangers are world record holders... I also think it is fair to say that Celtic have never won the current Champions League!
Why all the obsession with a defunct competition?
