Pork Belly is cheap and if you roast it over some nice leeks with some salt and pepper rubbed into it and then stick the grill on for the last 30 minutes you get LOADS OF AMAZING CRACKLING and then some nice sublime pork underneath with some leaks that are infused with tasty pork juice. mmmmmm

And pork belly is cheap too.

Otherwise.... mini-kievs and chips.

I'm thinking maybe some kind of chickeney type thing. Breaded chicken in a bap maybe, but that's not enough

Darwin you clearly have more time than I would do. I want to stick something in the oven that takes no longer than 20 mins and requires no prepation

Stella Artois is usually on offer. What more could you desire?

you lazy !!

Okay. Get some nice sausages, stick them in an oven dish for 10 minutes in a hot oven to get them going... then add some oil (not olive oil) and stick it back n til it's REALLY hot, throw in some sliced onion rings and then pour in some batter (flour eggs and milk) and put it back in for 20 minutes.

MMMMM toad in the hole.

If you have 20 minutes I suggest you buy a bag of mini-kievs....
You can put them in a baguette if you so wish!

ok lady, here's a greek cypriot specialty. although the authentic ingredients aren't found in this country, there are alternatives stocked by supermarkets -

get some sopocka (a polish smoked ham, in lieu of cypriot lounza. supermarkets normally keep it near the salami). also, buy a ciabatta bread (because you won't find the greek bread, and ciabatta is almost the same thing). buy some cheddar, tomato and some cucumber.

cut the ciabatta open, and toast it under the grill. when it's toasted, put some sliced cheddar on one side and put back under the grill until it's melted.

then put sopocka, tomato and cucumber on the side which doesn't have the cheese, close the sandwich together, and put the whole thing back under the grill for a few seconds until it warms up.

when it's warmed up, wrap the whole thing in foil to keep it warm. eat slowly and savour it.

You could eat them out of a bowl like Stacy Soloman does at her christmas party in the Iceland advert....

in answer to your question, anything
