The Timinator,

Did ya think Rangers would draw at Ibrox last week? They're no great shakes.

The Celts have settled down a bit and I'd safely say they'll win tomorrow.

I didn't think he would survive November as Celtic manager, so I've been pleasantly surprised by recent form. All credit to Lenny and the players

We're playing in fits and starts...but the main thing is; we're winning

When a few players are back, 90 minute performances have to arrive, for us to win the league

He's a smart fella harvey. I've pinned my colours to the mast and taken a punt that he'll succeed as Celtic boss - despite being thrown in at the deep end.

The price for Celtic to win the SPL this season is shortening big time. Interesting times ahead.

i know mate but rangers unbeaten in 14 away games and kilmarnock haven't won in 9 so the odds are it'll be a gers win,but ye never know.

I've never doubted that, mate. I know he is more intelligent than given credit for due to the way the general public perceives him (I would even say the same for McCoist in his own way). On the other hand, he did suffer a torrid time as manager this time last year, and after an initially great start to 2011, we would lose the title due to poor form after that.

I've still got a bit to go before I'm fully convinced, but I do think that he is now ten times the manager than he was when he first got the job. He deserves nothing but credit for the way the team have been performing the last few weeks.

Celtic and Lennon have been doing a better job of late and at times grinding out wins, but that is what you have to do.
Rangers have taken their foot off the gas recently, but both teams should win this weekend. The next old firm will be massive for us both.
It is strange that last year Lennon was the man, then a month or so ago many bhoys wanted him out.......now he is ok again.
I am fickle at times, but is Lennon a good manager or not?I would say average, but he does not have the players to prove his worth, just like Ally.

Do you think he is a good manager or not? At this stage, it's still hard to give a convinciing argument one way or the other.

to be honest blue we cant afford anyone better either team for that matter

we seem to have 2.2mil to spend on bangura though!!!

hope he makes me think otherwise soon but for now he has had a good 25mins and the rest has been poor

Harvey,

Lennon has been in the job a while now,so surely we can say if he is good or not.If he was good,I think we would know by now...............

He won more Spl points than Wgs EVER did...

He has Celtic doing ok in Europe...but he has made blunders, no more so than ICT last season.

Soooooooo, it's too early

He also has the best record in OF matches against Smyth, than any other Celtic manager

That is a good point bhoy67.............who would replace Lennon and how long does it take the next guy to achieve success with limited resources?
Without Naisy,Rangers are not as sharp attacking,so Celtic may close the gap faster and keep Lenny employed.
Incidentally,I have heard Bears say Lenny is ok when you meet him.Let's face it,we change at football games, compared to normal life.

I do not believe most bhoys think Celtic have done well in Europe under Lenny.
Celtic had a better team than a weakened Gers when Lenny went against Walter as manager.
Why compare Lenny to WGS and no other manager? He may be better than Barnes, but so what.
I can't believe bhoys are still saying it is too early to judge Lennon. This must be the longest honeymoon period ever.

However, you must also take into account the decline in standard of a few clubs.

For example, Hibernian and Aberdeen were much better then and were generally guaranteed to be in the top six.

Hearts had a few good players as well and Craig Levein was doing a good job at Dundee United.

Bluebell.

Lennon is far from the finished article.

I'm one of his defenders and even I know that.

Top posting.

Respect man.

It is not too early to judge Lennon; most managers are judged and sacked within two months if they are not good enough, you only have to look at the question marks surrounding Chelsea.

I would give Neil until the end of the season, but I do not think he has done well enough for Celtic, but that can change.

++++

We went to Ibrox with a reserve team last January and won...he's trying to assemble a team from scratch, from being a rookie manager.

With horrendous injury lists

He took one of your greatest ever managers to the last day of the season and won the Scottish Cup in his first year. He can cut the lead at the top of the SPL to four points tomorrow. Would you write him off at this stage?

posted on 25/11/11

I think the financial position of Rangers is somewhat exaggerated: the Celtic team that won at Ibrox in January had a combined transfer cost which was fewer than what Rangers paid for Kyle Lafferty.
