Haven't seen anybody say he is our 'saviour'. In fact I have seen most advising not to build him up as such.
But the assists/ goal thing is a pretty ridiculous argument. Xavi doesn't score or assist all that many. Clev just gives us something different and his movement/ link up play allows us to play a more exciting game.
No one truly believes that Cleverly is now the messiah or even our best midfielder but it is surely no coincidence that we stopped playing our best attacking football without him in the side.
He seems to provide the link between midfield and attack better than others have been doing of late and looks to have great understanding with the likes of Rooney, Young and Welbeck.
O.P- before coming on here with your idiotic questions, try watching him play. If you've already watched him play and you still felt the need to ask the question, then you know nothing about football and should be in here in the first place...
i think we have quality cms but there all the holding or grafting kind. Clevs is more of the creative kind. He gives the midfeild a much better balance. Clevs and Carrick to rule the world
I believe if you look out side your window OP, you will see a black van and a few chaps in white coats, go along with them and you'll feel much better
good to see your back then
Not all MUFC fans do.
I don't, for instance, and nor do I believe MUFC actually need "a saviour".
Other clubs might do, but not the best football club in England (barring currently the local resurgence MCFC of course)
We see him as a saviour as he's got quick acccurate, useful passing 1-2's etc, gets around and is solid, can tackle, protects the ball well and makes space for himself. All in all he's a proper central midfielder not DM or AM- a fulcrum in the middle of the pitch- he has got assits and has made things happen, really makes a difference when he's on. Shame for us and England that he seems to be injured a lot
i have the same gut feel now about Cleverly as I had when Hernandez scored his first goal for United against the MLS allstars last summer - going to be a top player for united.

Unlikely.
both are going to be squad players and nothing more.
nothing wrong with that of course
vital for the chances of success in the seasons ahead
