All are welcome on this site and we strongly advise people to give a degree of respect to one another. All Ip addresses are logged and any criminally offensive content removed as soon as we are requested. We do receive a fair amount of complaints but they are taken seriously. As mentioned in our site rules we will pass details without resistance to police if requested by law enforcement. So we advise people to keep that in mind when posting.
Police? Sticks and stones. Jeez...
Sorry, but threatening people isn't the way forward Admin.
Using common sense is.
If numerous people complain about an individual user, it is usually for a reason, even if what they says seems rleatively innocuous.
Being a moderator isn't an easy job, but you need to have your wits about you to know exactly who ARE the trouble makers.
I recommend to Admin to have have his wits about them and not be sucked in by people trying to incite abusive comments in the first place.......
I agree - checking the articles written is usually the best indication to a moderator who really is the 'trouble maker' in the first place. Do they post genuine club related articles ar are they always provocative. Like Real_Estate I leave that with you Admin.
Jeez, is this a football forum or have I accidentally strayed into the ballet section?
Show some respect to the Admins. They make the rules and if you don't like them don't join or comment or post on this site anymore.
I think what has been revealed is that Lofty2 has a disability, a reading and writing disability.
Based on how the reply above was written, I'd say some other form of disability is included.
All admin and co said was this site is for everyone and people should give some degree of respect to each other.
All websites on internet come under local law, ask yahoo. This site also comes under local law and personally, I don't want to see this site disappear cos of a few people who think they feel better breaking the law or verbally abusing someone with disabilities.
I'm sure admin and co will read and consider what is breaking the rules or not, then act appropriately, and in fairness.

I agree. Also the person who replied talking about the disability I think may have been a parent or carer protecting a vulnerable peep.
Maybe this is a lesson that we should all think before abusing someones writing style
(sorry if some of this doesnt make sense, had a couple to drink)

in reply to the original article poster, I'm delighted that a tough stance IS being taken. For some clubs the BBC 606 got so bad - 'wum-ming' multiple identities that it ruined contributions from the normal fans. For example, it got so bad on the Reading FC board that a 100+ left and went to form their own specialist site 'The Royals Rendezvous'. I'm a founder and moderator on this site. Because of the extreme problems we had on the BBC 606 we made clear from the outset a tough stance, having banned users, edtited/deleted comments of others - and 98% are over the moon about it!
However the RR is a Reading only site, and I hope to have banter with other fans HERE without the other side (whoever it is) getting their backs up at the slightest thing.
Don't think of not being able to swear or abuse as being restrictive ... think of it as a challenge to your intelligence and humour. You'll then be able to express yourselves equally - or even more - forcibly with richer language highlighting much better what you want to convey !
Bloody right, daib0
Seriously, i agree with you wumming (unless it's humorous and non defamatory) can spoil a forum, when i heard 606 was folding i joined LufcLoaded a Leeds forum, a good site but it's nice to have a bit of banter with fans of other teams, good luck in the playoffs.
Why the hell was my last comment deleted? Just because I had the gall to question Lofty's "disability" it get's removed. I'm not expecting this comment to have much of a shelf life either, to be honest.
Thanks Highlandwhite - and I used to support you guys at primary school, before my parents let me see Reading !
Sorry you were so close but so far at the end; but next season I'd surely have Leeds down as FAVOURITES
daib0
I hope you've forgiven your parents for misleading you
Well......... call me a cynical old sod but this "Lofty / Carer" story seems a bit suspicious to me, why did it never get mentioned on the old 606 ??
god knows he got some slagging on there for his postings.
TelfordClaret, daib0 , Lofty has been around the Leeds forums in one guise or another for quite a while, as i said it seems a wee bit suspicious that his "carer" appears all of a sudden.
My wife's a Carer.....imagine what my life's like when she comes back from work
