I was in a shop in Streatham south London aboua a month ago. I was wearing a city shirt as you do, and the owner was Indian. He said to me i used to support Chelsea until last year now i support city. Sign of the times or what?

The shopkeeper supported Chelsea and changed or did you? Why does his race matter in your story?

Confusing lot.

City haven't got that many plastics yet. On this board its mostly old fans and fair play they are good blokes. The plastics will come soon after the first title so I say next year May. It was around that time the Chelsea plastics came out of the shadows.

Dad took me to my first match around 73-74. He'd been a lifelong blue, and we had a good team then. Spent the next 30-odd years thinking "ffs, it must get good again soon" so I'm just gonna enjoy the ride, and try not to think of how we can ars this up, because well, we're City, we're good at that sort of thing.

1956, aged six when I decided to become a goalkeeper and Bert Trautmann was THE man.... I have been a southern City supporter ever since. Saw them play twice at Priestfield stadium Gillingham, often at Charlton, Spurs, Chelsea and in three divisions. Three times at Wembley.... and Bert is still the best keeper we have had.... although Joe is getting there,( needs to dominate his area a bit more, but a fantastic shot stopper.) I have now seen city shirts for sale in sport shops in Canterbury, very strange. A couple of seasons ago I travelled to Old Trafford to see my first derby game live, I think I was the only City fan on the train from London, it was full of 'reds' .
The times they are a changing.... I reckon I have waited long enough !!
