It wasn't a drive by shooting it was a carjacking and your joke was mince anyway
for a cartoon pint aye, think i'll stick to my double vodkas
davis - dont think he done that single handedly mate if that was the case what about before other 2 thirds of the season?
keny, stop cartoon winking at me ya big hairy-balled alky
Laff has a decent scoring record for us, quite often playing out of position too.
When are you gona offer new contracts to lenny, Kayal and Izzy?
Or are you waiting for big offers for them?
I don't think he done it single-handedly, he is an effective cog in the machine. Which is exactly what he is asked to be
i dont offer them contracts, i dont work there. no idea what celtic are doing, but i suspect that lennon will get a new deal and that izzy and kayal will stay, if not we'll make a handsome profit on them, so fair enough.
if he plays out of position then fair enough, but so does samaras and for some reason most people tend to ignore that, point is lafferty gets stick off his own fans for most of the season, coming good at the end isnt enough for the price.
Samaras only delivers 2 or 3 times a year and his goal scoring record is pathetic.
We all recognise Lafferty is not worth the 3.5m but he can't help what we paid for him and i have seen enough from him that i will continue to get behind him as he has come good for Rangers on vital occasions.
funny you should say that davis i was just thinking about samaras in the same way, comes good but not often enough.
i think both of them need to be far more consistant cause when they play well they are vital, problem is they dont play well often enough.
can remeber who is was against but lafferty was upfront in the champs league at home and had a horror of a game.
Lafferty can play well in the SPL up front but the Champs league is a differnt kettle of fish.
The best strikers in the world are often anonymous in the Champions leagues fixtures.
i.e. Ibrahimovich - has he ever had a good game in the Champions League?
I have seen Lafferty have a good few horror shows but i have also seen him score vital winners and wrap up titles for us. Even if he is having a mince game he gives it everything same can not be said for Samaras.
Also Lafferty is much more effective over the course of the season.
establishment
it was more the chances he had than his overall play, missed some good efforts but like i say, sammys done that in the champs league as well.
i just dont think that scoring goals in the last few games is enough for a player of that price.
Even if he is having a mince game he gives it everything same can not be said for Samaras.
=========
actually it can, one thing i have always said for samaras is that even when hes playing stinking you still know he's playing unlike other players who hide, sometimes hooper can be invisible, sammy at least puts his all in.
I have never seen Ibrahimovic play good for an entire game ever, he does occasionally produce moments of brilliance but he does not warrant the clubs he has played for and fee's paid for him.
LAfferty is useless in Europe, i'll give you that.
I don't think of any of the Old Firm players (current players) would impress in Europe.
When i see Samaras having a bad game, i think he does a lot of nothing and actually hampers his team by dropping really deep and he is not a team player like Lafferty.
i actually like samaras for his effort compared to others, needs to look up more, keeps the ball far to long.
establishment - would have to agree with tha unfortunately. im hoping celtic make a bit of a go of it with a settled squad this year thought
sammy is 10 times the player laff is and a 4th of the cash

just how much cash did Samaras cost you then?
I think there are a few players in both sides who could impress in Europe, especially the Europa league. By impress i am not meaning being a top player in the competition rather just in matches.
I think if Jelavic is provided good service he will stand out.
AndyBhoy
Lafferty has provided more to Rangers than Samaras has to Celtic. Samaras on his day can be excellent unfortunatley you get 2 a year. For the rest of it he is a passenger.
was thinking jelavic could stand out as a player, i rate davis highly as well.
for celtic im hoping izzy and kayal would stand out, problem with izzy is that hes more of an attacking threat than anything else, might leave us open at the back, think 3-5-2 might be the way to go in europe.
Also Samaras was more than 875k
Keny
I think Celtic should be able to get through the group stages at least and im hoping we are able to get through to the groups and hopefully unless we get a nightmare 4th seed take at least 3rd.
I think for both Clubs to be in the Europa Knockouts would be decent as we should both have what it takes, then take it a tie at a time from there.
we should both be good enough to make it there, be interesting to see who rangers get in the qualifiers tho.
andyboy how much was samaras then? dont forget what you spent on loaning him for a season before buying.
we spent about a million on him. dno wat we payed, if anything to loan him. if you cared enough why didnt you look it up?
