would love to see hughes back, from rumours and reports, the is a good chance that it could well be sven, hope not been living on his england job rep for years.

If not hughes, i would approach either dave jones or allan curbishley.

Jones was also in my mind....

or how about holloway?

Sven was awesome pre-England you know. He was touted as the successor to Fergy when he was due to retire in 03 or something.

You need a steady manager who will keep you in the league and make you hard to beat, a Roy Hodgson or somebody of that mould.

BusbysBabes

With had hodgson before, it didn't quite work. We know all about sven, turned his back on us before when everything was sorted i.e. personal terms, the lot, this was way before england, this was in his lazio days.

What has Keans new contract done to his sackability, is it easier to get rid of him now but he gets mo money?

holloway plays with the same philosophy as kean, playing football is better than results and its clearly not, as we all know.

newWAYNEorder..

I believe Keans "new deal" lowers his compensation package should he get sacked....which gives us all a glimmer of hope the Venkys have it mind to bin him.

Curbishley or even Souness would probably be the sensible choice. knowing Venky's they will go for Harry Rednapp or Ferguson, but we will end up with another Paul Ince.

This is the problem with the Kean out agenda...?

next up?

Dowie,
Curbishley,
Souness,
Bruce
Coppell,
Jones,
Holloway,

The owners are berated for a lack of football nous, even naivety and these are the suggestions to replace Kean?

I didn't even include the european suggestions!

On a day we have lost a promising manager, the wanabees can still spout drivel?

I am a Rover and my faith in our survival in the big league is not yet lost.

I know from painful experience that, knowing a leader is inept or misguided is not enough to change the fact!

Have riots on our streets removed Dave and Nick?
Riots and cuts removed Boris?

Power is power and the wise keep their powder dry until it can be effective.

I would personally welcome the return of Mark Hughes and his team but anyone else would be a gamble.

As supporters, we are focussing on survival, where others above us look to progression....it is not an easy ride whether you buy in or not.

C'mon you Blues!

Not that he would be interested at the moment but I would have a look at Nigel Adkins.

Whoever it is would have to have confidence he could work with players already there (and pretty quickly) which begs the question are they actualy good enough. On paper they are, but???

According to the Mirror the solution is for Kean to spend £10M.

"On a day we have lost a promising manager, the wanabees can still spout drivel?"

I had hoped people would steer clear of using one to attack/defend another GFP. I was seriously taken aback and saddened by yesterday's news but for my mind it has no relevance to Kean or his job.

As for the list of candidates the issue is two-fold. Firstly, anyone would be better than Kean, seriously! Secondly, who in their right mind would actually want the job?

Steve Bruce seems to be on the brink at Sunderland I hope and pray we dont get him even if he is better than Keano, now where,s my yellow tee shirt?

Adkins is a good shout - Souness, O'Leary, or Curbs would do for me - all with Prem experience and all have had SOME success.
