If he was going cheap then fair enough. However, I'd rather we push the boat out and look for a 20+ goals a season striker and a right winger/midfielder

I've had enough of going for bargain basement 'squad' players. It's not what we need, the squad depth is fine. We need to try and get players that will start turning these frustrating draws into 3 points. Got a funny feeling some journo is trying to wind up Everton by linking Drenthe with us!!!

Lots of people thought we would'nt get Torres because man utd wanted him.

Same with Suarez, im sure plenty of CL clubs wanted him.

Marco Reus, yes its youtube can make babel look world class, but be assured the germans rate him highly and he is consistently good. It shows some of his interplay which makes me believe he would suit our style of play.

we have a great great great relationship Borussia Mönchengladbach he has 2 years left on his contract. im not too sure on his position i think he plays anywhere in midfield and even 2nd striker. right footed loves to run at players, could do a job for us RM.

A lot still depends on our league position in attracting quality players. We are still lagging behind where we need to be. Players like Drenthe won't improve us enough while players like Hazard will be a stupid price.

I agree with the previous posters who say Rues is a good option. I also like Coutinho from Inter or Sow from Lille.
