Essien has won African player of the year, as talented as Jack is i just don't see him in that bracket

Errr, if you need more ammunition than that, then your debating skills are poor.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

How about, "**** off, you're a Chelsea fan, what would you know about football?" - always a favourite, and goes down a treat.

Give me a break! El Hadji Diouf won it twice!

This is a good point - I reckon young Jack will never win African player of the year.

Jack is black!

To be fair judge, I'd even say El Hadji the edge over Jack as well...

Yes, but you'd say anything to run down Arsenal on the Arsenal board POTN - it's just who you are, it's just what you do.

Wilshire is overhyped, whereas Essien when fit is actually world class.

Wilshere is 19. Of course he's 'overhyped', he's Engilsh and very good. You know there are far more people trying to tell us he is 'overhyped' than there are 'hyping him up' in the first place, but some people can't wait to try and deliver 'bad news' - it's a curious part of human nature that the English seem to excel at.

Is it just a coincidence that United fans are coming to the defence of the play breaker Essien.
Kind of player that would compliment Anderson, Park, Fletcher and Carrick maybe?
Theres a reason why United and Chelsea are dismissed as negative.

...and their fans as myopic, clueless num-skulls. Which is, on the whole, quite unfair - but some certainly are.

Very unfair.
Eric Cantona has only recently torn a strip off Ferguson, saying that Wenger would have taken United to a different level had he been in charge at the cinema of nightmares.

To describe Essien as simply a play breaker is just plain wrong. The guy, at his peak, would win the ball back and drive his team forward with strong running and good passing. He also wasn't a bad finisher. He's finished now though i fear. Just too many injuries. Wilshere is quality.

Thats more on the money Stevie.
Not quite a Bryan Robson, more like a Fletcher.
I fear young Jack has cost your Cleverley a career in the England team.

Heartbeat of England? He has 5 caps. I'd still take a past it Essien over a never going to be Wilshire

Are you one of those children who sings songs about Cantona?
Did you know that it infuriates the current crop of players, they are not allowed to do flair and they hate being reminded of it. And its 5 gold rings! Naughty boy!

Wiltshere is a good little player no doubt, but is it any coincidence that now he's out injured you're playing well...
