I think Chelsea are in real trouble this season if AVB doesn't change to a more solid style when playing teams of reasonable attacking quality.

Chelsea are going straight out of the champions league against Valencia and finishing below Spurs this season unless changes are made to the defensive setup and then attack is built from there.

The losses are getting more important yet AVB is stupidly sticking with this setup, I don't get it!

You're right. This is part ofthe problem. He's playing this high line when only 1 or 2 of our players can keep the ball

Barcelona play the highline because they have 8/9 players who can keep the ball.

We play the highline and dont pressure the opposition
Barcelona play it and pressure.

We're doing it all wrong

last season they had a world class manager who managed to turn it around..

this year they have AVB.

Chronic I do think getting rid of Ancelotti was a very stupid decision made by RA as he won the double with them in his first season and then they had a blip last season but still managed to work their way up to 2nd. I think one season could have been anomalous.

The problem with Chelsea's squad is that they are unsettled by how many different managers they keep getting. The youth players keep having to work different ways and be utilised in different positions and be told different tactics and it does not bode well because the players need to keep changing their shape and formations so often and it must be unsettling, seeing a new face every other year telling you different things to what you've been previously told.

RA hasn't learned, it seems. You do not get rid of a manager after one 'bad' season. You let them settle in and get used to the players which they are working with.

AvB's reputation as the new Mourinho has been embellished by the media and you can't deny that he worked wonders at Porto even though he did have the right players at the time.

However - I said this when Chelsea had just got this manager and I'll say it now - it's too soon to have a manager like this who has very little experience in managing football teams by himself. He had one excellent season which could have been a once off and then the next thing we know, Chelsea have paid Porto £12 million for his services?

Shocking decision making by Abramovich there.

Liverpool played a full squad tonight, Chelsea didn't
===========================================
Only Reina, Lucas and Enrique started from first XI.

Chelsea had Lampard, Bosingwa, David Luiz, Torres and Malouda.

couldnt agree more to be honest.

what on earth was RA playing at??? you can tell that he doesnt REALLY understand football when he makes calls like that.

Ancellotti is one of the most respected and successful managers on the planet... and you replace him with a rookie.. and expect him to deliver the CL. baffling
