It seems Fergie has decided, rather than throw the youngsters in straight away, play a strong first team, maybe grab a couple early goals, wrapping up the game, then bring Morrison, Pogba et al in later with less pressure.

great to see rafael and macheda back. i wouldn't blame pogba if he left us we are holding his career back.

Least exciting team ever. Would of loved us to have picked a team with a couple of exciting youngsters. No experience on the bench either. Sort of game Gibson will score a good goal in, and start getting himself picked for the premiership and champions league, which is way beyond him.

Pogba IMO will leave us soon as he will be first team player any most other clubs he isn't getting fair crack at Utd.

If Pobga, at 18, thinks he has some special right to be getting first team action then he should leave. I'm sure that isn't the case. Fergie monitors these players when they train for the first team. If Pogba is being eased in it's because he isn't ready yet, despite what any of us say.

And from the limited first team action he and Morrison have had, Morrison strikes me as being very much more up to it mentally. I don't think anything would phase this kid.

Why 'should' they be? Surely you can see that Fergie wants to ensure a few goals in this game before bringing these players in? Have you read Fergies comments about not wanting to rush young players in case they aren't quite ready and end up getting embarrassed? I can't find the link. I thought it was on skysports but the article i was thinking of either wasn't the one, or it has been redacted. Maybe you already saw it...?
