Nzl will provide stiff competition despite playing away.Cant fathom how Aussies managed to draw test series against SouthAfrica.The current Australian side is simply not good enough.

Disagree with Pakistan.This team , thanks to spot fixing saga, is now free from 'disruptive' elements which cost them the test series last time they played down under.Recent performances testify the fact that when they are free from disruptive elements they are the best team in the world.

Well your obviously looking through rose tinted specs. Seriously only team you have beaten as been sri-lanka and bangladesh.. Sri-lanka have stagnated and Bangladesh are the worse team in the world. Even Zimbabwe are better...

Saffers last year in middle east – drew test series
Our record is evident vs the indians and if we did play them, we’d be favourites home and away
That just leaves england. Lets see what happens next month.

Im not saying pakistan are the best. But they are up there amongst the best – the last 18 months is proof in the yorkshire pudding.

IF Pakistan beat England in the new year. Then they will have deserved it.

If pakistan beat england, pakistan will still be amongst the best, but not the best!! Likewise, even if they lose, considering there awesome effort in the last 18 months, once series defeat doesn’t make them a bad team.

Neon, my point is that i see pakistan as joint best 3rd with aussies in the test format and probably second in the ODIs right now considering the last 18 months....

Very true... Not denying that. But know-it-all, that’s abit cheeky mate. Judging england by the last few years (negating the previous 7 years prior to that) and then meantioning pakistan being poor for the last 10 (ignoring the results in the last 2 years)…. Not clever mate, not clever at all……

Pakistan is a formidable side to beat if they do not have 'disruptive' elements.I remember in 90's ,on paper atleast, Pakistan were as good as Aussies but infighting, constant changes meant there was a lacunae between potential and achievement.Since , Pakistan will not be subjected to such 'element' in near future there is a strong likelihood that they will be the best in not so distant future.

This is an Aussie vs NZ thread.. why is everyone talking about England and Pakistan?

Thanks to neon we can talk about multiple teams under one thread.Anyways, I expect Nzl to fightback tomorrow and bowl Ozz out within 350.This test will go right down to the wire.
