Hope he gets well soon. I always backed him to come good.
He isnt a player that relies heavily on pace or explosive bursts of energy so I think he can come back from this to at least the same level he was at at the time of injury. I also think he has the quality to continue to improve beyond then.

FFF, I was genuinely gutted when Smith broke his leg, I NEVER like to see any players injured like that. Every team has its muppet fans, see Lobster for full details...

Yeah them too. Its not on that.
Lets not let this degenerate into a 'your fans are worse than ours' nonesense.
All teams have a few bad eggs that bring down the good name of the others with distasteful behaviour and flouting of the law. In Spurs case its their manager.

Life can be so cruel at times, Lucas had just got to the stage where he was considered a top player through sheer hard work and determination
===============================
I think thats why Lucas is one of my favourite players in the Premier League. He doesn't excite me like some players do, but hes put in so much hard work to improve over the years, despite being ridiculed by his own fans and every other teams. All that hard work has paid off for him as he often ends up being player of the match against the big sides.
I'm devastated
Knowing Lucas, he'll come back stronger than ever.
Spearing into the first team now and coady hopefully as back up
Disappointing but not the end of the world.
Spearing has shown he can rise to the challenge and be an important player, Henderson can play centrally and Gerrard to come back.
I think we were always likely to sign another midfielder in January or the summer anyway with Mereiiles and Aquilani gone, this will just hasten that process but we have enough to cover in the mean time.
Cue loads of Wums who have been saying Lucas is terrible for years now saying he is our most important player and this ends our season.....

I am gutted for the guy. Lucas has put his heart and soul into this club from day one. He has improved beyond belief.
Hope he comes back stronger and fitter. Will miss his
happy face and big grin on the pitch
