I have a feeling Real might want it more and get the win which would IMO lead them to winning the title.

Something about Barca isn't quite right, they lack intensity and don't look as decisive away from home.

I wouldn't be shocked if Barca turned it on and won the game but I'm predicting a Real win 2-1.

If Pep plans to put a 3-4-3 formation again then I don't have much hope, not even for a point.

The lineup Pep should use is not science fiction really: Valdes - Alves Puyol Pique Abidal - Sergio Xavi Iniesta - Cesc Messi Alexis

do you think villa might be benched for the match ??

if so could this lead to his exit from barca in the summer ?

As you know Villa is in a slump, he doesn't start as often as last season and when he does he is subbed quite early in the 2nd half.

Just a few daya ago I read an interview where he said he feels appriciated so not really sure he is to leave, but you never know especially if (big if) Neymar comes.

I feel Alexis should get a nod since he has hit form but then again Villa is a big game player, it depends on Pep.
One thing is for sure though, Pedro won't start.

There's another point I want to comment on, Pique's yellow card against Rayo. It's sad to see how he and Pep declined how he got the yellow on purpose, which he did, even an idiot could see that. I think Spanish FA should do something about it, I really won't mind if he becomes the scapegoat, it will be an example for others, not acceptable.

Forcing 5th yellow cards to serve a ban when most convenient has been going on for years in Spain. Remember when Deco and Eto'o were accused of forcing them precisely to miss the Bernabéu clásico in '08? And it had been used for years and years before then too. It's only since Madrid's CL game vs Ajax that it's been awarded any attention over here.

Dan, why would you say Pedro isn't starting, because he isn't yet fully fit or simply because of poor form?

And what do you think about your new cantera lad, Cuenca?

I remember both the Eto'o and Deco incident as well as Ramos/Alonso's vs Ajax. It's sad to see that such actions are not punished, it would be awesome if Pique was the first one to be so and just before such an important match.

Same goes for diving (beware Sergio, Mascherano, Alves and even Iniesta).. 2 seasons ago when Eduardo dived vs Celtics there was a huge fuss in Britain and I think Eduardo was punished by UEFA.

Pep said he will give Pedro some minutes against Bate Borisov so he can check if he can use him on Saturday, however, I give you my word (for whatever it counts) he won't start, he might enter in the final 15-20mins but that's it.

Xavi Iniesta and Cesc need to start in a 4-3-3 formation which would only leave one question, Alexis or Villa.

Heh Cuenca, he looks like a farmer from Texas. Did you hear Pep's comment how the girls don't fancy him but he does the job where he has to, on the pitch?
What can I say, I like the lad. He is pacey and I rate his vision and technique higher than Pedro's, just hope he develops well for Barca's and Spain's sake.

Don't know if anyone here is aware but there is another kid in which the whole Barcelona in putting extremely high hopes in (something like with Messi 6 years ago), Gerard Delofeu.

I first heard of Deulofeu a couple of years ago. I've seen him play a number of times, mostly for Spain's youth teams. It's going to be interesting to see how he adapts to pro footy now he's at Barça B, as he's hot loads of raw talent but needs to learn to put it to its best use. At times with Spain's youth sides it's seemed like he wants to dribble his was from the half-way line to the goal too often, but I suppose that'll get better in time.

Problem is that from now on, too often the comparisons of talented, tricky attacking players like him at Barça will inevitably be made with Messi, and that can only lead to building up way too many expectations. He actually reminds me more of Muniain than Messi, but that could also be be related to age and physical appearance too.

I agree.

It's not fair to him to compare him to Messi, I mean who can be compared to Messi?

Do you reckon Muniain will be purchased by Real or Barca next summer?

I honestly don't know. I'd love him to stay faithful to Ahletic - they're developing into a strong team and it'll be a pity if their best talents start leaving for more lucrative contracts.

Personally i'd go for:

------------Valdes------------

Alves Puyol Pique Abidal

---------Busquets------------

-------Fabregas Xavi--------

-----Pedro Messi Villa-----
