Your point being? The players bought in have played 90% better ffs.
Well, you have to admit that agents do a good job - it was, after all, Mr.Rankine who managed to get Jordan Slew that career move to Blackburn.
I don't really see the point being made here.
Kernow- you must think you had good value for money then!!
It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
You spent more than Fulham and Wigan. You spent more than Wigan and Swansea combined.
Do you really want Billy back. What an expensive flop he was.

only 90% better?
we've spent 938k on agents fees?
you'd think we'd have some players to show for it.

Has selective amnesia set in???
Billy has nearly bankrupt us by failing to get promotion, while at the same time being one of the highest spenders in the league.
Billy's legacy will live long at Forest, but not for the right reasons.

A, because FFP is coming. Well before Billy got here ND was pumping millions in just to keep us going. that now has to stop
B, because he stepped down as chairman because he admits he made a right mess of things with McClaren. It appears he doesn't want others spending his cash, fair enough.
Yeah I've got things wrong and you've had to pull me up on it. Making rubbish out of spite, because you don't like a man how did a lot for the club is out of order.
McClaren had good money to spend after he left. Or didn't he? Was he right to moan?

That's not true. We've been through this. It's rubbish. The Swiss ramble piece you posted a link to said we had the 11th highest wage bill in the league last season. And had spent the 4th most of the clubs in the league at that time. That didn't included your newcastles and so on who'd gone up.
Not that it matters to the first point on this thread. Billy didn't bankrupt the club at all. We were £10Ms in debt when he got here. And the reason we're skint now has little to do with him. Yes he spent a lot by NPC standards in his first summer. He had ok to spend after
But he didn't bankrupt the club in any way shape or form.
His legacy has been ruined due to fault of his.

You have a go at Billy because he had this massive wage bill, you've made up. And failed to win promotion.
Yet Cotterills has the sane size wage bill, possibly bigger. Yet you'll be delighted if keeps us up. We're in the bottom three on the same sort of budget.

I honestly think you need to see someone about your hatred of Billy. It's not normal. I bet you've got a little Billy Davies Voodoo doll you carry round and stick pins in.
You blame him for everything, i bet the Euro zone crisis is his fault in your eyes. Yes he's not the nicest bloke in the would. He wouldn't be on my list of people i'd love to share a pint with. Maybe your right he did care more about his career than the club, you think Cotterill doesn't, or CC or any manager we had or are likely to have anytime soon.
You could even be right about him failing. Although he was sacked 2 years in to a 3 year plan after coming close twice.
But he did make a better job of it than the rest of NDs managers and he's really not to blame for FFP or NDs appointment of McClaren, he didn't nearly bankrupt the club and it's not his fault we're in the bottom thre now.
Just try and be fair
11th highest was in 09/10
That rose to 5th highest in 10/11 (behind QPR and Portsmouth.)
From 09/10 the wage bill rose 40% in from £11.2 million to £15.6 million in 10/11.
ALL BILLY'S DOING!!!!

The wage bill went up under McClaren. Who are these over rated over paid players Billy signed?

you don't believe the line that doughty has to put 12m a year in to cover costs do you?
that's an outright lie. if that money ever goes through the accounts it is only for money laundering purposes. our player wage bill is in the region of 7m a year, club turnover is approximately 15m per year.
the club probably makes a small operating loss but nothing of major concern. it isn't possible for the club to be losing 12m a year without something extraordinary that we don't know about.
So 5th highest not the highest in the league. And it's not Billy doing. It's NDs money and ND decided it was ok.

whats made up stretta is that doughty puts 12m into the club each year to cover losses.
explain to me how it is possible that the club runs at a 12m loss?
it doesn't go on wages and it certainly doesn't go into transfer fees. player wages are by far the biggest expense to football clubs.
i understand you've got other staff to pay, player bonuses, utility bills and other expenses but if doughty has to put 12m a year into the club to cover costs we are talking 18-20m in costs AFTER player salaries are covered.
the 12m figure is a lie
