But yes, Barton is a thick unt. It's an insult to Gary speed if we start inquiring about his death, contemplating his motives, and of course, making rash judgements.

It COULD have been selfish, but we just don't know the cause yet so we should not speak about it. Barton has again showed how thick and spiteful he is.

When someone is depressed or is even just contemplating suicide, you can't just label it selfish. Ignoring the fact that he was rich, probably enough for his kids to have a good education and life, you obviously haven't felt what it's like to feel like suicide is the only way out

In Barton's defence he isn't the first or last person to say something like this..

We dont know the reasons why Speed comitted suicide and I assume that Barton doesnt know either. Barton should be very careful with his comments about Gary Speed's death. In live you should say never say never.

As I said, depression is an illness and if you have not been affected by it you cannot really understand it. Judging others is not the right approach. You should be thankful you've never experienced it. When you have depression it overwhelms everything else and can seem like theres no way out.

I have had depression. Just too many important things in my life other than myself to contemplate suicide.

Gary Speed took his own life in the knowledge that it would have left his children fatherless, and them and his wife utterly devastated. Whatever his motives, however depressed he may have been, committing suicide with this in mind was 100% selfish.
