Utter legend. Get well soon Gordon
Yes, I heard this a week or so ago. I believe he's suffered a stroke.
Get well soon Gordon. DCFC legend.
Perhaps consider writing a book whilst you recover. I'm sure it would make a fascinating read and a must-buy for any fan.
Gordon just needs a touch of his old 'magic sponge' - he'll be right as rain!
Never forget him regularly bombing on the pitch at the BBG back in the 70's.
The word 'legend' is bandied about a bit too much for sincerity nowadays, but GG truly is befitting of that title within the DCFC ranks.
Whenever I'm perusing the archives of Rams bygones, I use Gordon as my "Where's Wally" mission in many of the photos.. Get Well Soon!!
i remember a few years back trying to orchestrate the Derby faithful into singing "There's only ONE Gordon Guthrie" just likes my childhood, when it was a pattern of "Arthur.. giz a wave", followed by "MerrrrkFarland..MerrrkFarland" then "..only one Gordon Guthrie". Sadly, the people who start the chants, mostly cringeworthy, were not influenced enough by my campaign!
I personally regard GG as a legend and he truly has DCFC in his blood. Hope he makes a full recovery and maybe gets the level of recognition he deserves DURING his lifetime and not after.
MBE's are bandied about far to frequently IMO but GG's was well deserved..............Get well soon

Get well soon Gordon Guthrie
LEGEND
This thread's better than your attempt, Marco.
5 stars from me.
Yet mine was a more understated comment, slipped inside "Clough's Knockers", as Gordy would wish
Please get well soon Gordon.
When anyone asks me where the loyalty in Football is these days, I have only one answer, Mr Gordon Guthrie MBE.
Noone in the previous nor in the future history of Derby County Football Club will have given the sevice that you have to our Club.
He is Derby County. Get well soon
I'd just like to put my pennies worth in, All the best in your recovery, {cause he is recovering}. I call Gordon Mr Derby County, I've had the privilege of meeting him on a couple of occasions, and playing football with his boy. By the way his boy was a cracking winger
Pity there has only been 14 comments. No matter, I shall forward them on as promised. Thanks to those who have contributed
