If SAF had spent 75m on Carroll, Downing and Henderson, I would certainly question his competence and ability to do his job

Well Henderson fir example to a lot of stick when he first arrived but is progressing very well.
On the other side of things Phil Jones was trumpeted as an all time great for 20m but is erratic to say the least. And don't get me started on De Gea at 20m.
I believe there's money yes, we made a record 300m increase in revenue from last season, although the glazers are 's I believe they have kept a bit of that aside for transfers and I do believe fergie will dip into the January transfer window

We made massive clearouts in summer and were the adequate replacements bought?
Do you think we should have bought more proven talents considering 50m isn't a very big amount in today's market and also considering that even Arsenal spent more than 50m in summer.
