On the plus side, I've lost another half a stone and had bran flakes for breakfast so I'll go and lose another half a stone or so in a short while

Good lad

What's the overall goal? You'll need new clothes if you keep going at it

Stomach's flatter than it has been for years still got a bástard bump at my lower abs that I can't seem to target with any exercises. Core exercises seem to hit the upper abs.

Target is 15st I suppose, but I'm really wanting to get to an appearance I'm happy with. In other words not flabby, a bit toned. Plus I need to get my BP under control, got family with high BP and don't want to get it myself. Not too bothered about the weight exactly but I'm sure if I got down to 15st I'd be pretty happy with how I looked.

Cheers gents trouble is I have massive thighs from rugby so I already have to get trousers with huge waistbands to fit my legs in, they're getting a bit silly now since my belt is a bit big now...

==============================

Tell me about it, apparently direct exercise (crunches etc.) is the only way to shift it.

I've gone from 18st to 14st 9lb and there's still a nice cushion round the waist it's a pain in the arsé.

People laugh when I say I've slimmed down to a 38 waist but they don't realise it's the thighs that cause the problem

Exactly - trousers are cut for fashionably skinny twáts these days, bought 2 new suits a month ago and the only trousers that fit were 42" and 44" waist... they're so big around the waist it's absurd, my actual waist is maybe a touch over 36".

Over 3 stone though that's massive mate, well done. I think you've earned that shág tonight

Always forget to do crunches at the gym but the free weights area is always chock full of ripped knóbheads doing their self-congratulatory circle jerk, so I tend to steer clear.

Cheers dude I want to get to 13st 7 but the reduction is definitely slowing down. Mainly because I've not been as strict with myself the last 6 weeks.

I reckon I'm a 36 now, but anything I put on looks like skinny jeans Suits should be ok as there's a place nearby that does free alterations so I can get them properly tailored but normal clothes are a fúcker.

Top Man and River Island can go fúck themselves.

All my exercise is tennis or football, so I need to force myself to do some crunches at home. I did start doing it but then stopped soon after

Is Ms Haak appreciating the difference?

posted on 2/8/13

Yeah, I have to admit the biggest difference for me has been eating properly. Small meal every 3 hours, cutting down on red meat and starchy carbs, eating more fruit. Surprised me how easy it's been, the thing that's always stopped me is that I figured I'd never be able to give up food but I've not been any hungrier cos I keep topping it up every few hours. I don't even get afternoon slumps any more really.

I find Burton and Superdry look good on the top half even if you're quite big (I'm 6'4" and quite broad, I'm never gonna be a skinny lad). But I just can't find stuff that fits on the bottom half.

Ms. HaaK seems pleased yeah, she's trying to lose weight too but she isn't really bothering with the diet so much, which is a bit frustrating. I'm gonna get rid of another stone and a bit before starting on the tone-up weights though, that'll be the bit she enjoys most I'd imagine.
