I think they only pay you if they have a job - they give you your takings from the shop you co-own once you're married.
I just wish they'd introduce an 18+ version where you could rape.
Bear in mind though, you can't marry Hroki in Markarth. Bloody shame that, she's hot.
French - All spouses pay. ONce they marry they set up a shop where you can buy and sell limited goods. they share any profit they make with you.
I married Mjoll the Lioness because she is a persistent NPC. Very handy when taking a companion with you.
I married Ysolda because she had juicy cans
I married Ysolda.....I like Whiterun and she has a house so helped early in the game.....

^. I don't know why it did that. The WHOLE thing is a link.
I married Mjoll too, didn't realise she was invincible when I married her but thought she was nice when I did her quests in Riften. Plus she's kinda hot, especially with better skin texture mods (although I hoped I might be able to remove the face paint).
How to I get one of these female slaves?
Heard my neighbour shágging for what seemed like ages last night, moaning, groaning and banging the headboard off the wall. Turns out her elderly mother had fallen over, cracked her head and was knocking on the wall for help.
Feel a bit guilty about the wánk now.
Which mods do you use, MD? I assume you have the game on PC anyway.
HAAK - the only annoying thing about Mjoll is that bloke, Aerin. I killed him pretty quick though. Mjoll was only pi$$ed at me for a day or 2.
Haha yeah - when I first married Mjoll I hadn't realised Aerin would follow. So I moved into Breezehome in Whiterun with Mjoll and discovered Aerin followed us there. But there was a bit of a conflict in the game code since his daily routine still took place in Riften, half the map away.
So every day he'd leave Whiterun and walk towards Riften. Was a simple matter of following him out into the country where no guards were around, then I hacked his head off and dumped the body in the river. Mjoll was none the wiser.
I did it right in front of her to prove a point.

That's a shame MD, it's a totally different game on PC. I had Oblivion on Xbox but bought a gaming rig not long before Skyrim came out. I could never go back to playing on console now.
I have a pile of womens bodies in the sewer below Whiterun and another in a cave near Windhelm (I like to pretend that I rurdered them)
I had Morrowind and Oblivion on Xbox and PC. I will get Skyrim at some point, just to mess around with the mods (I created some of my own in Oblivion), probably once I've utterly completed it.
I haven't created any of my own yet, although I did download a mod that added Hand-to-Hand perks to the One-handed tree and Unarmoured perks to the Light Armour tree, and I fiddled with those perks to get them more how I wanted them.
There's still a lot I don't understand about the Creation Kit though so I tend to steer clear. Annoyingly though you have to get Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) to get a lot of the bigger mods nowadays but my computer doesn't seem to like it, I had to get rid of it to stop the game crashing.
Also, when you get jailed in whiterun, does anyone else pick up the corpse on the floor and place it conveniently on the bed?

No you don't have to be online. Although you'd need to be online to download updates/patches/DLC obviously.
Where do you work that lets you play Xbox?!
