Everyone knows there's no shame in losing away to Stoke in the middle of winter
--------------
No not at all, very tough place to go, we lost there and also suffered from a few dodgy decisions and our inability to put the ball in the back of their net.
As poor as the ref was, credit to Stoke for coming out fighting and making it a great game. Based on Stoke's performance I think a draw was a fair reflection!
I've always said that football games aren't won or lost on "luck" but the performance by the ref today was terrible, not unlucky.
We were good value for a draw today.
I could have endured the other stuff if the Adebayor goal had counted.
Bale Left foot
For the first time Adebayor was onside by a good two yards
Ref was a disgrace
"We were good value for a draw today."
And that is all the players will need to think.
We won't get N ref games like that per season.
Only deluded Pooool fans suffer that fate.
We Don't.. just not our day
I'm sure they know it RDBD, but do they know they can do it without Ledley?
One of the worst ref performances in yrs, a biased complete mug that Chris foy was today. I don't even want to talk about it i'm so angry
For neither the handball and sending off, nor the legitimate goal to stand is just shocking refereeing. 1 out of the 2 at least.
Sorry but I am levelling the majority of the blame on us not getting a point on the ref.
Spurs need to bounce back with a nitty gritty 1-0 win or in style like 4-0
Stoke are a hard place to go, Arsenal always get spank their
"Sorry but I am levelling the majority of the blame on us not getting a point on the ref."
And if you believe in Nemesis, reward will show on the Spurs ledger at some stage this season.
For me it was little decisions that really bothered me, like the blatant Woodgate corner decision - the big ones i can understand because of the pressure, but the Stoke players didn't even appeal for it.
Also the Bale/Shotton corner - ridiculous!
RDBD
I can admit that we only have ourselves to blame for conceding 2 sloppy goals in the first half, but we were a lot stronger in the 2nd half and scored 2 perfectly fine goals. What more can you do? If the ref denies us it, through that and various other decisions he has to be blamed.
As I've already said no blame on ref,but he did seem to have it in for us!
Hey go,we just gotta go again.
spurtle
You can't blame the ref anymore than you can blame Gallas for example. I'm not saying he wasn't terrible, but we could've played better and made it irrelevant
Bales has the RDBD virus.
Feels good doesn't it, knowing your team could and should rise above it to prevail.
Damn straight RDBD
I have no doubt had Ledley been there we would have.
I'm off for the evening, this place is gonna be a wumfest of epic proportions
I haven't looked - is there a cross-board article with Mafia on yet?
Could have. Should have. Didn't (FACT !!! ) .
They incur for costing 2 pts on the Arry RDBD index.
we certainly deserved a point no doubt and we have the Ref to thank for not getting it, spurs couldn't of done anymore 2nd half.....absoloute disgrace
Time to forget about the refs display, and the performance, beating Sunderland Chelsea should be our focal point!
Horrible game! but what else do you expect from Stoke
but we could've played better and made it irrelevant
----------------
But Bale's we did play well enough for the draw, we did what was necessary which was scoring 2 goals.
I'm sorry but I'm not having all this "don't blame the Ref garbage" he was an absolute disgrace and you cannot do any more that force them into mistakes that are pens or score perfectly good goals ....When the officials make massive mistakes after massive mistakes how is any team meant to win under those circumstances
Exactly squid. We could have scored another 2 legitimate goals chalked off and I bet people would still be saying "it was our own undoing", "you can't blame the ref" etc.
