Well I have no problem seeing the backs of Anelka and Kalou.

Well Spuds need a striker so why not Kalou or Anelka + money.

Anelka didn't have a great season but imo he is played out of position, he will easily get 20 goals a season if he is played as the top striker instead of Torres, he is our most clinical finisher and usually covers effectly for us when drogba is away on anc. What has Benayoun done for the club? We won't be needing Benny if we get Modric as an attacking midfielder with Lamps on the Bench. As for Kalou, some of his goals saved us from disaster, and that is coming from the bench, if he is giving more playing time he can easily get 15 goals, although I have to admit he has been frustrating ro watch at times but he is by far our best dribbler and a good sub when all other options have been exhausted.

Anelka's age makes him an obvious player to off-load at this time. He has been a good signing, but we have to move on.

Really, to question Benayoun after he was injured for 90% of the season is unfair, and who is to say he could not play with Modric in the same team just like Iniesta and Xavi play together. If not, he can be cover for Modric.

Kalou has been given plenty of playing time over the years and the only thing his does consistently is dissappoint.

we are forgetting someone, Zirkov will be the perfect player to go to spurs, they need an attacker with huge potential then Zirkov is their man, I am sure Harry will be smart enough to recognise that Yuri will bring more to their team than Anelka or Kalou

If the deal goes thru and spurs got chance to handpick a player then I think they will go for Drogba or Essien

As for Luiz, I think Alex is better defensively, we can't say for sure if he will be better than Mikel in dm. We can always rotate bw him and Alex and Terry and in case of injury he will be needed.

I don't think it should never be about playing your best individual players, but always about putting out the most balanced attack with players that complement each other.

so you think Torres and Sturridge will be an instant hit? i forsee Sturridge running into Torres's space. They are both simiilar places who want to have the final touch irrespective of whether a team mate is in a better position. Also they both want to recieve the ball aheah of them so that they can run into, especially Torres who can't seem to create anything for himself anymore. I hope lukaku comes in cos like drogba he can fend for himself

Why has nobody considered giving away Malouda?! His attitude of late deserves him to be sold. As for Anelka, he's received a bit too much criticism in comparison with his French team-mate. People forget that Anelka is the only player, bar Yossi, who seems to understand the way Torres plays.
Angelina-Modric is top quality. He'd be good enough for any team, bar Barca and Madrid.

Malouda: I am hoping the incoming manager gets the best out of him cos when he is in mood he really adds a lot of flare to our attack and when he drifts out left (don't know y he keeps coming inside, probably to score) he creates a lot of goal scoring chances. imo we still need him in the team, all he needs is a big kick up his arsse

Well a very big kick then! It's not just how badly he's played, it's the fact that he's extremely selfish and puts in no effort for the team. For crying out loud he cane on as a sub in the last game and didn't even run! Somehow, people stick by him, but criticise Anelka, who has done better than him, to no end. If we give Spurs both of the French players, and offer 12M on top, that should do it

giving spurs malouda and anelka is very risky, if torres fails to score then we could be in trouble, even if we did get neyma and lukaku they may need time to gel. That leaves us with only sturridge, kalou and the ageing drogba up front

moreover I wouldn't our team to play against a spurs side with both malouda and anelka in form, might be a little too much for the aging terry and cole to swallow

we might be shooting ourself in the foot, they are not as harmless as joe cole. We don't need to make the same mistake twice, look what happened when we shipped out ballack etc we have the resources to hold on to any player we are likely to regret selling. imo only zirkov and benny should be sold from the front runners, we should hold on to anelka as a safety valve for torres
