RRP - Kane is young, and its a bit of a step up from League One and Orient, he has had some chances but so far no joy, hopefully tonight will be his night as well. He only turned 18 in July so there is still time, not everyone starts playing at 18, just hope he can improve. Certainly I hope he goes to a championship side and gets a few and confidence next year.

As for Pav, he has the abilty, just not the attitude, he is one I'd like to see sold in Jan providing we get the cover in. But that leaves the issue of having a 4-5-1 formation with three strikers all wanting that 1 spot. Which would be a headache. But one I could live with.

i want Spurs to go through, it will be easier for you in the league with no European games.

RRP - I know he did well for the youth, but that is against youth defenders as well who are more prone to making mistakes. Now I know the teams we have been playing aren't from the greatest leagues, but they still did well enough to get into the Europa League, as such their defences must be a little more experienced and organised than he is used to. I just hope its a step up to fast for him and once he gets used to better defending he will find a way to get the goals.

The problem with him I find though is that he isn't good enough for our future ambitions, but thats at the moment, hopefully he will come on and be at least a useful backup, I do feel that a season in the championship would do him a world of good, the defences in that league are better than league one (obv) and are generally more bullish as well, and that experience will help him with his movement and positioning.

Well theres little point in taking many first teamers as the odds of qualifying are very slim, why risk there injuries or even energy levels with a pointless trip to Dublin, getting back onto winning ways with Sunderland is more important.

I think Paok will play it straight. Thier manager is on friendly terms with Harry and even said he can only play his first team as he doesn't have a 2nd string! I suspect they will want to top the group as well. The sad thing is this collection of players would struggle to hit a cows bum with a banjo so it looks like gooner wummers will be out in force later this evening. TTID.

No your right RRP, players do need to grab their chances, and I agree that he hasn't don't that. Whereas I would say someone like Carroll, who I didn't know much about before this competition actually has, not that I expect him to get a game for us with our midfield.

I would guess that we have been a little bit spoilt with the likes of Walker who has come so good so quickly that we hope that for all the youth players when we really know the odds of many of them making it for us is small in the first place.

The good thing to come out of the Europa League for us is it destroys the myth of us having a strong squad, we have a strong 13 or 14 players, but past that we are struggling big time!
