It's a stunned silence.
Why is Nigel only playing his old midfield and half the strike force.
Gally nearly man
Dyer nearly man
Howard over the hill
Wellens Knackered
King nearly man
no room for the mass of midfielders missing out!
Yes, that's what I thought - a stunned silence. I have had my say under "What a Shambles". There is only so much offsetting comfort one can take from the wonderful slamming of the Ricoh Stadium by some pundit on the BBC yesterday, as the worst ever conceived. Did anyone else on these boards hear that?
My second post here represented a stunned silence.
SHOUT LOUDER...COME ON LEICESTER
Not much to shout about. It's all be said before I agree Nigel's old team. He has enough players to pick from but still the old guard
It's so quiet because there's nothing really to say - it was just dismal. Though why Pearson picked Howard over Beckford I'll never know - just about the strangest decision I've ever seen with the way Becks has been looking in the last few games.
It kind of looks like NP is saying "my players" are better than the ones signed by Sven and if you had stuck my me we would reached the promised land by now,,,,,, but the point looks sadly unproven at this moment in time
Despite having a season ticket and just brought away tickets - I need to find out where John Gees sons go!
Dismal at the moment !
It's quite obvious why Pearson picked Howard - we don't have a midfield capable of providing service to Beckford and he been totally ineffectual as a result.
Until we sort the midfield out, there's no point in playing Beckford.
Poor purchasing in the summer now very evident.
Pearson may also be playing the players where he knows what he'll get, while people have been moaning about Wellens and Howard etc it's actuallt the defense who aren't any of Pearson's "old guard" who keep letting us down with really really poor defending!
Peterborough winning, sloppy goal to draw
Doncaster winning two really sloppy goals
Hull Mills sent off
'He has enough players to pick from but still the old guard'
He picks the old guard because the majority of other options are just as bad.
He has enough players to pick from in terms of quantity but quaity wise we are very short in the midfield.
Wellens and King have been terrible this season but so has Danns, Abe isn't good enough and if Johnson has been fit he's not good enough either.
The answer is he needs to buh a central midfielder as well as wingers.
Pearson wouldn't no about Danns & Abe. Apart from the training ground. He's not tried then in a game.
Maybe they've been rubbish in training as well.
Would you want him to give Moreno and Ball some games? He hasn't seen what they're like either.
Perhaps Danns, Moreno and Ball should indeed by given a run-out in the middle They couldn't achieve less that the present incumbents just now. And if we don't trust Beckford, then give Schlupp his chance. Howard's had his.
Richie Wellens has been below par in the last few games, and on top of that the article about how he struggles to train, how about having a lokk at this Keith Andrews, from Blackburn, he is currently on loan at Ipswich, and playing very well by all accounts.
Yes I know its another central midfielder, but where was our midfield at the Keepmoat on Saturday?
A doncaster fan told me on Saturday, that we are lining up a bid for Billy Sharp.
My view on that....... I've neve rliked him since he dived and did a triple salco to get a penalty for Sheffield United and Patrick Kisnorbo sent off in our relegation year. on Saturday he was barely in the game other than his 2 goals. but is that a sign of a good striker ?
we will have a good look at Keith Andrews on boxing Day.
Merry Christmas to all City fans!
gloria - Even if Sharp did win a penalty against us, that didn't stop David Speedie from becoming popular back in the day!
He's clearly got talent; my concern is that he's been quite injury-prone in the past and it's difficult to get a full season out of him.
