Football is a funny old game. Would you turn down a multi-million pound contract? I doubt it.
The board are more to blame if anything.
Too big a job for him, a bit like Ince.
Anyone would struggle with that useless team
Not necessarily his fault. He's not great but I doubt guardiola, fergie, ancelotti or lippi would take them to glory.
It's the boards fault. Except from portsmouth, what sort of team gets taken over by a board with no money? Defeats the object really. It's like having a bird who is easier than a sunday morning and deciding not to nail her

Football management a high risk job,big rewards for success out the door for failure.
Much easier to become a TV pundit mega bucks risk free, just look at Adrian Chiles what does he know about football......Answers on the back of a stamp please.

Many a time I've passed on a bird like that, too boring
Anyone feel a cheeky bid for Hoillett in Jan? Not looked too bad this evening. But then in a poor Blackburn side thats not too difficult.

I'd take him. I think he'd do a Parker (excel in a better team)
They normally have a bucket in which you could shove a Christmas tree up there and they'd have no idea
Funny you said this, I was about to post the same thing.
He is NOT a good manager and he's certainly out of his depth, but I feel sorry for him (and respect him) as a human being.
He's got nothing but abuse from the fans, the local newspaper and now even the Right Hon. MP
He refuses to quit because he can take the abuse and believes in himself. Imagine his stress leveals
In these circumstances its the responsibility of the owners to pressure him to leave or fire him - but they don't know what they're doing. Its ultiimately their fault for hiring him and not firing him.
Its a bit like if one us posters were made manager of Rovers We'd be poor and out of our depth, but who would have the bottle to be a 'dead man walking' for 3 months and still refuse to walk away with a big pay cheque. After getting the kind of abuse none of us can imagine.
It was horrible to watch, never ever felt like that whilst watching a game of football. There is a difference between not liking a manager because he isn't good enough, but when things start to get personal thats just wrong
