Because the FA are screwy!

The truth is it has nothing to do with insulting words.

The FA are gleefully using this as an excuse to misguidedly wave the 'Anti-Racism' banner in the face of UEFA.

Because the FA hate Liverpool and therefore want to make your lives as miserable as possible

If he called him a flammin gala he would of got a 1 match ban as Alf Ramsey used it all the time on Neighbours in the 90's

You have a point there.

Sticks and stones and all that although tbf they never really apply the rule do they just like they never apply the rule for foul and abusive language on the field of play unless there is exceptional circumstances ala Rooney.

The FA had no choice really just like Rooney last season gave them little choice.

The thing is, if they do have evidence that LS referenced Evra's skin colour in an abusive way, even if he was ignorant to what it might cause, then doing nothing would be totally unthinkable and would put us back decades

Believe it or not, I feel for LFC fans today. Must be awful to lose you best player for a period of time. I felt the same last season with Rooney missing the FA semi. I was bloody furious with his stupidity potentially costing a Wembley final!!

I hate seeing any big players banned for any team. When United play and team, I want to see both teams at full strength and not have the big players sidelined because of stupidity. Tis why I pay my money

I've said this before. Back in the day fand wouldn't want big players banned at all. When Liverpool came to town it was bring on Dalglish, bring on Rush, bring em all on. Why any fan would want us to play Liverpool with big players missing to make the victory easier is missing the whole point of football for me

Have a good Xmax Liverpool fans.

I feel for the decent Liverpool fans, it's the ones still defending a racially abusing, biting, diver that I have little sympathy for, jeez, they think the world is against them and LS should be knighted!!

If you get a 4 game ban for using insulting words then why isn't Evra getting a 4 game ban?
According to the club statement " Patrice Evra making abusive remarks to Luis Suarez in the most objectionable of terms"

the same reason foul and abusive language on the field of play is never really applied.

They only apply the rule in excessive circumstances which is why Suarez this season, and Ronney last season got bans

Charging Evra would set a precedent that would cause players getting charged in ever game every week. Suarez overstepped what is tollerated like Rooney did last season and the result is a ban

At least in that sense the FA are fairly consistent.

Rooney not Ronney^^^^^^

Maybe they drop the 4 matches for insulting and keep the 4 for referencing skin colour.

Then then won't have set precedent for the insulting part, just the skin colour bit.
