Apparently yes, it is inoffensive over in S. America, but that is obviously down to how the individual takes it, and who says this is how it is.
Any sensible poster knows Suarez is NOT a racist. He used a racial slur, and the ban to me is fair. Wouldn't like to see season ban.
I care not as to how they deem things in their Country. They are playing (working) in Britain and should abide by the standards that everyone else has to.
Something of this type in any other tyoe of employment (bar BNP associations) would generally lead to dismissal.
But it's another thing to add to the long list of things footballers are allowed to get away with, along with beating up women and smashing up cars
