Yh. We told Real £80m for Ronaldo. They paid.
SAF got him to commit for a further year.
Then the deal was done days after the CL final. No disruption to our season.
And we still won the league the season after.
And the Ronaldo money is still in the club accounts.
What big club has to get players on loan in the SUMMER as you can't afford them
------------------
Well Adebayor was at Real Madrid last summer loaned in the summer from Man City....I suppose they are a small club.
Arsenal have Beneyoun on loan from Chelsea, another small club then?
Maybe do some research before posting rubbish.
And the Ronaldo money is still in the club accounts.
------
And there was me thinking it was used to service your clubs obscene level of debt. I'm no Platini fan, but I wish his reforms had teeth so that certain clubs gaining an unfair financial advantage were punished/forced to comply.
Adebayor joined Real in January. To cover for an injury crisis.
Arsenal with Benayoun was as cover. He hardly even plays.
And those two clubs can afford those players without batting an eyelid.
You can neither afford Adebayor's price, nor his wages.
In circumstances like that, the loan system needs to be reviewed.
I don't think any player over the age of 21 should be allowed on loan to a team in the same league
My point is you are saying we are holding him against his will while you admit to holding Ron against his for a whole year? You cannot have it both ways Manc. You can dress it up how you like the facts are there to see. If Utd make an offer, Levy will consider it but please, don't preach on about Spurs and honouring contracts until you get your own house in order.

Yeah, Spurs in a better financial position than United.
You made CL quarters and still made a loss.
A small loss, which is better than a club that is the best part of three-quarters of a billion pounds in debt, and buys players knowing they cannot really afford them. Once clubs are forced to clear their debts before repurchasing, then United will be in real trouble.
boring story
one he is not for sale and if he does go then we would only listen to offers over 60 milliuon because we dont want or need to sale ..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
£750m in debt? Can you read and/or count?
Debt stands now at circa £350m.
FFP doesn't stop debt. It means that you can only spend what you earn. So summer just gone we made £100m in profit. You made diddly squat.

Man Utd lost that 80 million when the Glazers refinanced the club loan
That was 2 years ago.
Check the company accounts to June this year.
You can neither afford Adebayor's price, nor his wages
------------------
Of course we can afford him we just won't pay him 170k a week because he is not worth that.
You can't afford him.
Loans like his should be banned anyways. A club has a player and they can't pay his wages.
I'm about to post a finance article on the Manchester United board. Many if you should take the time to read it.
Yeah because letting a player rot at a club where he can't play and become miserable is so much better then loaning him out

Oh hello it's the Manchester United accountant First of all, I thought Spurs fans had a brain and didn't listen to tabloid drivel about our supposed debt. We don't have 750m debt, it's in the 350m region. You're about 400m off there, the debt is going down every day and there's a 30% planned float of the club that's worth over 600m happening soon so the club will be debt free when someone invests into Man Utd from the float. You claim we are skint, again where did you hear that? We've spent 50m in the summer, Fergie has even said there's money available for transfers as well so I still want to hear how you think the biggest club in world football can be "skint" even though it's in debt.
The Daily Mail? You felt the need to write an article about a rumour in the Daily Mail? Slow day indeed.
