Fair comments except I thought we had enough to match West Ham and could have won.
Fahey has answered the foolish few who need a scapegoat by some excellent displays in his last 3 starts.
Myhill made a couple of great saves.
Fans in the Tilton were loud and even when we went behind the singing never stopped. Good display, good result.

Watched the game thought west ham's tactics were disgusting, constant fouling, diving, crowding the keeper on corners and just general unsportsman like behaviour.

When big jobs come up big sam always moans to the press how he should be mentioned that game is a classic example of why he is not.

West ham have the best squad in the league by far i mean 6 first team players out injured and still a subs bench with john carew, o'neil and lansbury on it, they dont need to play the way they do to win matches, its a disgrace.

Blues were good when we were behind but once we went level west ham looked more likely to win again. Good performances from myhill, murphy, fahey and even zigic had some nice touches! need to start winning games though

Thought it was a fair result last night and one we desperately needed. Didn't think West Ham were classy they played the long ball all night and were time wasting with 25 minutes to go. The ref was awfull giving fouls to them when it was their defenders fouling our strikers.
Thought N'Daw dropped to deep after we got the equaliser but overall not a bad performance.

Also want to add apart from the European games that was the best atmosphere down the blues this seaaon. Despite the early goal the fans were great and was funny how much stick Carew got!

Great point given the fact we went behind so early. There were a lot of good performances yesterday (as RCB has mentioned). Funny how the main issue to address has moved from midfield to up front - just shows that confidence is everything in football. We've got players in Wood and Zigic who can score goals (and King who can score and create space in the box), but its just not happening at the moment.

It won't be easy, but a win against Blackpool could set us up for an exciting second half of the season.

Still enjoying this season more than any (including 2009-10) that we had under McLeish.

If only we still had Phillips think he could have done well for us this season.

That's coming from a team who have got Zigic... you are lucky to get away with a point..the referee should have gone to specsavers for missing all the penalties..

Good match on Monday. Fair (ish) result as well. WHU first half and our second. Thought it was a shame to see West Ham using the rugged Alardyce tactics, that is not their way really. Spoke to a good mate of mine, West Ham lifelong fan, who saw only the second half on TV. He said he thought "Blues looked pretty good". He was grateful for the point.

"the referee should have gone to specsavers for missing all the penalties.."

Are you serious? He may as well have been wearing a claret and blue top he was so biased. Dirty tactics from West Ham and, as most have said, it shouldnt be necessary with the skill some of your players possess.

Oh dear Tony, the ref is so blind he didn't spot a handball in the box not for once. Why is he issued a yellow card McCartney and Nolan? oh yeah.. time wasting in 75th min..

Tony Jeff, who quoted the ref - specsaver thing ?

"time wasting in 75th min."

West Ham were time wasting from 5th minute onwards! Pathetic. You should have had a dozen yellows, not just the two. Still, entertaining match.

Forget it Jeff, I missed the Wumming...! Got it now.
The ref was Sooo blind he missed a Wg breaking tackle from Nolan on Zigic. Only a yellow, for a disgraceful tackle - not time wasting...

*Wg should be leg...
Don't know how..don't ask !

To be fair to West Ham they could of had a couple of pens for handballs from Murphy and Spector but equally it seemed every other 50/50 decision went their way.
All they did was play the long ball over the top and if Davies was on the pitch is have backed us to win that game.
As for the likes of Nolan and Noble both of them are gobby little priks who tried wasting time with 25 minutes left. Was really surprised to see West Hams negative tactics honestly thought they were better than that.

"Was really surprised to see West Hams negative tactics honestly"

As was I, but then again its Big Sam. He's almost as creative as McLeish.

Big Sam has a very poor record against Brum. Desperation crept in very quickly once they had the lead.
If that's the best 2nd position can offer then I'm more optimistic than ever...

TCoMB ~ we all saw the handball in the penalty area. But some of additionally understand the game. Hand to ball is a penalty, ball to hand is not. Get a grip, and be reasonable in your arguments or you will not be taken seriously.

ED
Ball to hand is a penalty if it impedes the flight of the ball [to goal] and/or the player's arm is away from his body.

posted on 28/12/11

We've all seen pens given for less tbh...
But on these occasions the ref either bottled it, chose not to see them or really didn't see them.
At the end of the day, who cares ?

posted on 28/12/11

The ref saw it clearly, judged it to be ball to hand, as I said, and played on. Right decision.
