He's made some high profile errors but is 'the golden boy' of Scottish refereeing and recently reffed a Barca game. His profile has been raised so hopefully now he is at the level where he wants to be and has a good game tomorrow.

He will be reffing a lot more Barcelona games in future. I will climb back on my old hobby horse one last time...have a quick google and see how many uefa games scottish referees have had in the past 5 years...it is way out of proportion for a country of this size. Then have a look and see who has been doing the UEFA competitions refereeing appointments for the past 5 years....extraordinary!

and btw ..the OP is spot on. Just wait and see!

I totally agree with the, OP...

Only 2 referees to my knowledge, have had their religion brought into the public domain in the build up to their debuts in an OF game: Collum and Steve Conroy...

Both made very poor decisions against Celtic and decisions which favoured Rangers

Wylde,Naismith and McCulloch-reds for violence. Aluko and Goian-bans and reds for cheating. Is there a pattern emerging here. Ally can't seem to manage without cheating, fouling divers in his team. McCulloch's appeal could see an extra game added to his ban.

Poor wee Celtic, getting picked on again. Protestants pick on them, Catholics pick on them.... It's a shame really.

Mix and match away...it doesn't detract from the OP's assumption that Collum feels pressured into overly trying to make himself look unbiased, by being...BIASED

Maybe lex shoulda been the op then cos he's got it more spot on than anyone. Tomorrow will be a thankless task for Collum, damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Probably sittin at hame prayin for the most borin goal-less draw in the history of the OF

It's not paranoia if it's based on fact. His religion has received an extraordinary degree of coverage in the press. In his last OF game he gave a decision to Rangers for which the only explanation was the one I have given.
And I'm not suggesting he is anti-Celtic...simply that he suffers from a normal human reaction.
