I'm with you kimmy. JA606 is far more straight forward! I tried the new 606 and got bored with all the trappings. I liked the old bbc 606 and find this forum pretty much the same. If the mods would be a bit more flexible, I think this one could manage to get us all back together as is needed for any measure of success. United (hate that word!!) we stand, divided we fall! If we keep spreading ourselves out among the different boards, we'll end up with nothing!!

i agree kitty , arent these forums all about a bit of sharing info, stats , opinions and a bit of banter not abusing others

the new 606 mods have responded to me and are considering setting up a bbc style format as we speak, so i guess ja606 needs to up its game or lose out.

Indeed, all this place had going for it was the familiar ( plagiarised) set-up everyone was familiar with but it seemed to be a place of arguament rather than that of banter.
The mods are better on the other site and they're always willing to listen.

Sure there's occasionally some foul language or a picture of topless woman, but it's usually always in jest. I'm offended more stepping out of my house and dealing with the world on a daily basis I don't know about anyone else!!! so someone typing curses or posting a picture on a internet forum should be the least of anyones issues!

There's plenty of banter going, most of us settled our differences and agreed to disagree without further disrespect and the debates are better for it! This site seems to get quieter whilst the other becomes more lively

kimmy, great article never been the same since the beeb site finished. used to be great now i sometimes wonder why i bother. total lack of members. few town and few owls. rest of league1 teams fans non-existant.

I can't understand the lack of league one support on here, other than us and Huddersfield.

I agree Tez, he would be all over these boards, I miss the old 606 a lot. We should be having banter with both Sheff clubs, Preston etc, last year we had great banter with the Southampton fans, before that L**ds.

all clubs used to have a good number of posters. maybe itll be better in the championship!

Im not sure it will ever get back to how it used to be but it wasn't bad on here, but the lack of interest from league 1 is alarming.
Wait till we have a bad run and they will all come out of the woodwork,

As Izzy says, there is little banter between rivals on here...even less on New606...I posted 3 comments on their wendy board, none of which were offensive...Result? Lifetime ban...

With the exception of a couple of posters, there is little humour on any of the new forums. Think I'll leave you timid types alone...hopefully this will boost numbers, posting exciting content such as team formations, etc.

Yep, got to agree with sparty here. I miss the funny posters, Ronaldo most of all. I tried to keep a couple of 'alter egos' going on here but they were jumped on immediately and banned for no particular reason. Some people forget what the original 606 phone-in was all about - it wasn't for 'what team will Laws/Irvine/Megson pick tomorrow?' On here the biggest mistale I think they've made is to be able to 'filter' people you don't like. so you can blab away boringly to yourself without interruption from lesser mortals.

Johnny - how bizarre, I had exactly the same problem. In the end I bought some petrol-engined hedge clippers: sorted.

ive been back and forth between these 2 sites and i think this 1 is generally busier, there are more posting on here thats for sure.
i think the views on their could be deceiving, but i guess they dont count really if you arent posting as im sure plenty just view on here too.

ps , i hate that i cant do smileys on my phone......

I much prefer the format on the other site and the comments for the most part tend to be more about football and less about silliness.
