Looks to me like they expected to get Westwood and cash in on kasper and its backfired big time.

Good for him.

Leeds have a lot of explaining to do.

yeah because on the Leeds site they made it look like he was asking for too much.

They made it look like he wouldn't deal with them re contract extension, this statement sounds like he is pretty peed off with Grayson, I wish him well whatever happens.

Look for Bates to berate Kasper now on radio
and in the YEP. I'm sure he'll paint it as greed and
lies from KS and his peeps. Laughable. KB is only
fooling himself, Shaun Harvey and Koppite.

"We spoke to Kasper's agent at the end of the season about a contract extension and it was apparent that it was going to be difficult."

He added: "Given the fact he has one year remaining on his contract we feel this is in the best interests of Leeds."

This from the BBC site

SG it would appear has had some sort of discussion with the agent of KS, if you are to believe what it says on the BBC. If that is reported correctly 'What was said?'

Will we ever find out?

Who knows the truth?

Is it just me or are we turning into a soap opera?
KB is absolutely our JR Ewing.

I don't think there is any confusion.

Grayson wants to cash in instead of letting Kasper go on a free at the end of the season.

Kasper wants to stay at Leeds for one further year and if we go up, potentially stay, if not then he could leave on a free to the club of his choice, most likely a premier league club.

Kasper isn't too interested about signing for another championship club unless he is confident they will go up, and no club will pay a fee for him to sign a one year contract.

Basically Kasper wants to run down his contract so he doesn't put all his eggs in one basket and Grayson doesn't want to let him.

kasper's statement smells fishy. why would LUFC agree to let remaining year run. Makes no sense. Seems they won't meet his/agents demand. Ain't these guys paid enough already. Go, you greedy s.o.a.b

this news makes me miserable! can leeds ever keep hold of potential?

Mazza, Kasper said no new contract was offered, hardly Kasper's fault.

posted on 20/6/11

Let me just say that I don't think Grayson has accepted the offer. Bates has. Grayson's arms are tied behind his back with the fat, cockney Ba$t@Rd in charge of our beloved club.

Dan, Kasper mentions Graysin in his statement, but no mention of Bates.

salonika, from Kapser's statement, Leeds didn't offer him any extension, that hardly makes Kasper greedy.

posted on 20/6/11

Jonty, do you really think Grayson wants to sell? Please open your eyes. This is all down to Bates. Read between the lines.

Anyway, by calling him "Graysin" you have immediatly become a wum.

posted on 20/6/11

Jonty is no wum! wish people would stop labelling that so easily!

fed up with us getting rid of players that do a decent service to the club!

Dan don't be such an idiot over a typo.

Dan, what makes you think he doesn't want to sell?

It's Grayson's statement on website, it's Grayson mentioned by name in Kasper's statement...I'm no fan of Bates, but what makes you so certain Grayson doesn't want to sell?

posted on 20/6/11

I don't normally think of him as a wum but he is wihtout doubt the most negative fan I've ever heard in my life. His views get tedious at times. Endless complaining about the tiniest of details. Yes, not everything is going for us atm but it's not as if we've just beeen relegated and are fighting to stay in business.

posted on 20/6/11

Jonty, Bates put those words in Grayson's mouth. I don't know how Grayson has the patience with him sometimes.

posted on 20/6/11

Oh and also, you can stop being an idiot and call our manager by his name. He manages our club and therefore deserves respect.

You still haven't answered the question, what makes you think Grayson doesn't want to sell?

You're pretty tedious to be fair, i don't bleat on about it though.

There's enough 'bleaters' on here Jonty64, we don't need another one do we?

Jonty = keyboard hard man.

I'll answer your question then. Grayson has ambition. He is very passionate about our club and wants Premier League football. Hence why he doesn't want to sell one of our crown jewels. He is not the finished article but will be a quality keeper in years to come. Happy?

Tbh you're the tedious one. Every single article I see you moaning about something. Anything. Do you spend your life on here?

Not really, you've waffled on but not really answered anything, so I'll still go with the evidence in preference to your views.
