The treatment room will be too crowded more like!

He's right. Central midfield is covered. It's the wings and upfront that we need quality reinforcement, and our full-back crisis may call for an emergency signing.

Diaby coming back, just in time to score another own goal in favour of man united

Wenger is correct.
Considering the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Coquelin can't get the game time they deserve how can signing another midfielder be justified, unless it was someone special (who we wouldn't be able to afford anyway).

A striker is far more important, and a full back short term.

We have Song/Ramsey/Arteta/Wilshere/Diaby/Coquelin/Frimpong/Rosicky all vying for those three central midfield places.

How is that an area we need more signings?

How a United fan can talk about rubbish central midfields I will never know. You have the worst central midfield in the top 7!

Javier,

All of them would vastly improve Man Utds CM.

When it comes to the creative central midfield role, we only have one player who really plays that position- Ramsey. All the rest can occupy the 2 positions in the 4231 formation we play. He has decided that Ramsey is the one and there is nobody out there who is better or realistically available. Wilshere may well play sometimes in the more advanced role but I dont think Wenger really sees him there.

I remember Wilshere playing there last season, as a replacement for Cesc, and he didn't look that comfortable. He likes to be in the thick of the action defending, starting plays and at times attacking.

the common concesus in the welsh press is that ramsey is a midfielder who works well as part of the attack, but isn't as effective when the attack is in front of him (so he's not a deep-lying playmaker, essentially).

the problem is that at arsenal, we have four attacking players in the lineup and only one offers any real consistency (if you need to ask who then all i can say is ). the players around him are only performing in fits and bursts. gervinho, talented though i think he is, is still finding his feet. walcott is being his usual enigmatic self, scoring or assisting then going 3 games without managing either.

and ramsey hasn't had an assist in 11 games, and he hasn't managed a goal in 12. arteta has more goals, and song has more assists, and they're the players behind him.

i think we need someone to come in and take the pressure off van persie, and i think attacking midfield is the place to start. yes ramsey is young and he's still not the finished article, but a) there's nobody making him fear for his place, to push him to improve and b) arsenal are at serious risk of falling out of the top four this year, and every point is precious. if ramsey needs to be sacrificed for the greater good, then so be it, i say.

Kaka on loan would be nice, but unlikely.

a midifelder who can play a consistent killer ball would be nice. we are only ever effective on the counter attack nowadays. but the front 3 are priorities.

Unsure why people think we need Midfielders....

We have Ramsey/Wilshere/Arteta and Song and on the flanks we have Gervinho/Walcott and Ox. let alone reserve players of Diaby/Arshavin/Benayoun and Rosicky

we have potential 4 flank players (I know Arshavin is not playing well)

What we need is a Striker (as much as I would love Henry back he is not the answer)....I think we are OK in defence as well....just unlucky (as usual) in injuries.....loan would be OK to help that out...

I would be happy for a quality striker bought for £15-25 mil and poss Henry on loan (just because its Henry ) and a loan defender for the full back position
