I don't rate Gervinho as well. Podolski, cover? He'd bench Gervinho (that headless chicken).

For someone with such limited ability, Gervinho's been surprisingly efficient in his first season. He needs to be commended for that.
But once the work rate halts, he's out. He doesn't have the ability to cruise through matches, and come up with something magical.

This.

And we'd be so much better off for it too.

@Dubbed: The workrate doesn't look like halting, he's still tracking back like a madman to put in (actually quite good) challenges.

Gervinho's been better than Walcott recently.

Wenger has already said the Ox will get a chance in 2012. He is Gervinho's cover.

I think a full back is the priority as not having one is affecting our attacking without the natural overlap you get from them. The CB's are doing a great job covering the FB positions defensively but not as well going forward. If we get cover there it will help our attacking just as much or maybe even more than someone like Podolski (Yes I did just say that) as it will give us better balance throughout the team which is what we lacked against Wolves.

So far we have suffered from not having a natural overlap on attacking play and it lead to more variation in our attacks so harder to defend against and more goals.

If being better than Walcott makes you good enough for Arsenal our standards have dropped ridiculously. Surely it can't be that hard to find a better player than Gervinho rather than back up.

Gervinho's touch and his decision making has cost us a lot of goals, he passes when he shouldn't and doesn't pass when he should. Tho Gervinho ain't afraid of running at players unlike 90% of our team.
